I would go for Yaris since it has better safety features.
City hatchback v does not even have aeb, something that even myvi and bezza got
Yaris G spec or City Hatchback V spec, Similar price range.. Dilemma to choose

QUOTE(BravoZeroTwo @ Mar 23 2022, 08:35 AM) Be wary of this AEB and other safety features. Myself encountered on two occasions. The car in front of me decided to make an illegal U turn and my car overrides my judgement and did an emergency braking! The car behind me almost knocked me and gave me a loud honk. Another Corolla Cross owner's car was knocked recently when his car did an emergency braking. A lot of drivers just love to follow closely behind us. When this thing happens when the sensor takes over our human judgement this is what happens. Still a risk to own cars with semi autonomous features. 2 way to look into this.1) your car auto brake for you, then car behind langgar you 2) your car auto brake for you, saved you from accident hitting the car in front of you. people who has actually been in an accident, would appreciate situation number 2 since i have yaris, and i assume you have corolla cross, then we both know Toyota AEB wont auto brake suddenly it will first give you a warning, if in that split second you dont react, then only it will auto brake for you. i have yaris for 1 year now, the warning sign came 2 times so far, then i brake on my own and changed lane - nothing happened the problem is when you follow the car in front so close, the system doesnt have any space to react. even without aeb, it's just a good common sense to give some space to the car we're following |

QUOTE(BravoZeroTwo @ Mar 23 2022, 09:55 AM) What I mean is that I do have time to brake and I brake gently but the radar thinks other wise and overtook the brakes. usually if the car already auto brake, then it means there's little space left between you and the car in front.my suggestion is maybe you should maintain some space and not follow car in front closely. or if you like to follow closely, maybe you can disable the auto brake |
