Recently went to showrooms and viewed both Yaris and City hatchback. I had summarized out some pros for each car based on my opinion.

Honda City Hatchback
1. Better looking Interior
2. Leather seats
3. 8 speakers (yaris has 6)

Toyota Yaris
1. More safety assist
2. Better looking rim (honda city v spec rim looks plain)
3. 3k cheaper

Both cars exterior look nice to me.

City hb has more practical interior. Yaris very cramp and less storage space.

Well, interior is for yourself to enjoy using, exterior is for others too see.

If really unsure, can go for Myvi. all the features of city HB for much less money

Agree with the interior space in the City. Useful compartments and storage space also more by a lot in the City. Don't forget the bigger seats in the new City and also new engine.

The 'plus point' for the city, can easily kawtim at accessory shop.

But the yaris safety cannot install aftermarket.

Go for Myvi, Ativa for full ASA 3.0 level for the safety features. Vios, Yaris and City are half baked level. Go check them out.

For all intent and purposes, the Myvi G3 has more interior space than the Vios and Yaris. Just for thought, the Vios and Yaris are still using the same chassis since 2003.
