wats propad? its not razer right? so no idea tongue.gif

btw blacktrix.
do you feel any extra friction from the back of the boomslang?
it doesnt feel as smooth compared to CH or DB.
its like the back mouse feet digs into my cloth pad.
think must add on extra feet, maybe thats why the package comes with 2 sets of feet tongue.gif

It is from Razer. The white version. smile.gif

Anyway, anyone tried the Lycossa before? Comparing it to G15 and Tarantulla, which is better? It seems interesting here. Love to get one too... tongue.gif

Hahahah... the venom is spreading!
The lycosa is a great alternative to the Tarantula if the base is abit too wide and don't need the additional battle add ons.
The Lycosa also has the added advantage of a removable arm rest and full backlighting + control.
The only thing you really lose is the macro keys, but you can always program ANY key via the software to remap any key you want, so not really a loss there.
Some people complained about the rubber keys, but that's a matter of preference. I like the feel of the tarantula better, and it makes a nice click sound when you depress the keys in.

Overall, the Lycosa is a great add on to the Razer line of keyboards.

And no, still haven't tried my CE yet. still unwrapping my birthday prezzies!
*
Nice to see a good comment here regarding the lycosa. LOL...Anyway, the design of the keyboard really interest me. Will check it out at LYP soon enough. smile.gif

I wondered if those rubber on keys comes off like normally on razer mice, does it effects the letters/characters keys.. can it still be seen?.. something like first batch of G15 keys... keys-fades off till cant see it anymore..  sweat.gif

Cheers tongue.gif
*
My same concern here as well. If the rubber is the same material as the Razer mouse, i think i will give this keyboard a NO. My Krait's rubber material are starting to fade already. sweat.gif

Even if theres another layer like the hard-plastic... i imagine it will be "sticky" and will dusts will sticked on it like all rubber-coated mice...  tongue.gif

Imagine that and... dam... ewww... and the peeling effect also... eww... good concept but it wont look good after several usage...  sweat.gif

Btw, i kinda forgotten to ask tis.. can BoomSlang CE 2007 upgrade its firmware?... or shld i say "firmware upgradeable"?.. like CopperHead.

Don't tell me it can't ah... since its like the most expensive Razer mouse..

Cheers doh.gif
*
LOL..Seriously, instead of worrying about dust and sticky surface, the problem for me is, how on earth i am going to bear with the problem when i know i am paying a huge amount for a keyboard..LOL.. tongue.gif I mean, i sure hope to get better quality for the price paid.

hmm~~ smooth plastic ~~ im prefer rubber ~~ anyways thanks for the info ya ~~~

The buttons itself is rubber while the body is plastic. Well, i am using one and is satisfied by the price i paid for it (below RM100). Never tried other gaming mouse before so no comments about comparison with others but the Krait is definitely a good buy if you have a tight budget and wanted to try some gaming mouse. It does need to take some time to get used to the mouse though.. tongue.gif

Well, i am not sure about other Razer keyboard but this Lycossa does come with the capability of turning it on or off or only the WSAD button. thumbup.gif

I didn't notice this until i turned it on just now. Shocked to see there is no lights until i check out the manual tongue.gif

Well, its a gaming keyboard so i guess there is alot of settings i could play with especially the Macro Keys. I have yet to figure out all the stuff but its beautiful smile.gif

Oh~~ need takes time to get used to it oh~~ hmm~~ how long u take to get used to it ?
Is it nice to grab ? IS Krait a comfortablem mouse ? while u are using it~~
wanna have some opinion on it~~
targeting a comfortable razer mouse with budget ~~
*
Trust me, shifting from a normal mouse to gaming mouse takes time to get used to. It just the sensitivity that makes you feel weird. But after you get used to it, you never turn back to normal mouse.

Me? I took roughly 1 month + to be able to fully control the mouse though (i am a slow learner tongue.gif )

Listen to blacktrix. Comfortability is something you need to touch and feel it for yourself. I have a small hand and the Razer Krait is absolutely good for me. However, many would feel otherwise. Do look up some reviews on it first and better still, touch it to feel it smile.gif smile.gif

Oh~~ thanks for you guys opinion~~ very useful for me ~~ thanks guys~~

How do u all take care of the mouse ? buying a good mouse pad ?

Does a normal cheaper mouse pad will effect the mouse durability ?

Will the mouse turn on 24/7 effect the mouse durability also ?
thanks ~~ blush.gif  blush.gif

24 hours with only some small percentage of turning the PC off in almost 2 years and my Krait is still running fine smile.gif

hi guys~~ need some opinion on this~~
which one u preferable

Razer ProPad (White)
Pro: Aluminum , Dual side , found cheap seller , ??cooler coz aluminum ??
Con: White colour ( easy dirty tear off) , heard that says friction problem between mouse feet and the surface cause the mouse feet to wear off

Everglide Titan Mouse Pad
Pro: Black Colour , softer which make our hand rest bit
Cons: Fiberteck cloth surface , Edges easy to wear off

Please note that both price is almost the same~~

thanks for opinion~~ looking forward it~~ thanks ya~~

Any Review or experiences on this 2 item is highly appreciated~~
thanks you guys~~~
*
Why would the Fibertech surface be considered as a cons for the Everglide Titan? Its a good surface actually (for me) and its very nice. The only problem with the Titan is because the edges wears off very easily after a few years of usage and it tends to catch dust all around.

Regarding the Propad, i am not too sure as i have never used it before but the only problem i heard off its the friction between the pad and the mousefeet will cause the mousefeet to degrade. smile.gif

I really don't understand the need for the poll. It's just as simple as this....... Do you need a big mat? Or do you need a Small Mat?
That's it. No mystic mouse feet eating goblins that lurk on the ProPad (Although I personally think the eXactpad is better because it's Black and doesn't dirty as easy and comes with the eXactrest....... it's the exact same mat except for the color scheme), or if the Titan has dirt demons hiding underneath it's lining.
It took me 2 seconds to decide on a mat. Do I need a small one? Or do I need a large one?

And Ever....... as much as I love the Ford Mustang GT..... FORD also stands for Fix Often, Repair Daily..... tongue.gif
*
Kinda agree with you here.

kellefe,

What you are trying to do there will only make yourself more confused than ever. We can only tell you the pros and cons of each mat but in the end, you will need to decide on your own. Better still, find some place to try it out (again) and see which one you like more. Look at your own budget still...

Anyway, blacktrix, by small and large, which one do you refer actually? The Titan as small? If it is, there is always a bigger Titan as in the DKT. LOL.. smile.gif

Besides, i bought the DKT and i am starting to feel its too big. Then only usage for me, is that it serves me well as a hand rest. tongue.gif I would rather get something smaller like the Titan or QcK Mini though.

-----------

One more thing, anyone tried the Razer In-Ear phones before (IIRC, its M100). Is it good for normal music listening instead of using it for gaming? Are the sound produced same like the Creative earphone (as they look alike).. smile.gif

Might be getting the m|100 really soon to see how it performs. Hope its better than my current Phillips SHE9500. This baby lacks bass badly.

Anyway, how much it cost anyway and from Razer site, it comes with an accesories that have 2 3.5mm jack. Whats that anyway?

its an airplane adapter.... meant to be plugged in to the jacks located on the arm rest of aeroplane seats so that u can use ur earphone with it for watching movies etc..... if u simply plug in ur earphone into the jack ull most likely get sound on 1 side (depending on which hole u plug in) coz its a mono jack....

thats the only use for it as far as i know...dont know of any player that utilized 2*3.5mm mono jacks..

Thanks for the great explaination there as always mADmAN. smile.gif

Didn't know about that though as i had only been on a plane once..LOL..

Loved the design of the DA as well. Definitely going to be my next aim if i wanted to change my Krait.

As off now, i am loving the Lycossa. I always have a mindset that gaming keyboard aint that suitable for typing but this baby here changes everything. Typing is extremely good and this keyboard is just a beauty to look at.

Pros :

- Its beautiful (Up to preference)
- Illuminated Lights (ability to On and Off)
- Macros Key (Not fully tested as still no time for gaming)
- Touch sensitive keys are just nicely done

Cons :

- The illuminated lights just aint bright enough even in the dark
- Catches dust/dirt very easily
- The USB jack seems abit loose

Just wondering, is this the reason why your friend conclude that the DA is better than the CH? smile.gif

You are using Krait...no idea why people love Krait, but people do. I made a mistake buying it and sold it to get Deathadder.

Anyway, Krait...go to your Razer Control Panel, select a button on your mouse to set as On-The-Fly-Sensitivity. Krait has only 3 buttons...so...you would most likely use that 3rd mouse button. I used to suggest a key on the keyboard...but I don't think that is possible tongue.gif Press that button and scroll your mouse to choose the sensitivity you want.
*
Krait user here as well..

Anyway, for me, its not that "I love the Krait so much and other mouse are crap" here. Its just that, for a beginner who have limited budget and shift from a normal mouse, towards a high DPI mouse (like the Krait) is an extremely good feeling. I mean, you can have a feeling of why you would love that mouse so much. That being said, its still not better than any of the higher end ones like DA, DB etc but its still a good mouse..

Besides, one reason i am still reluctant to go for something that look and performs nicer like the DA is because, i am used to a normal conventional mouse that have only 3 buttons. Yes, for gamers, more buttons = more customizability. But i have used a normal mouse will loads of button before (5 to be exact) and i kept pressing the wrong ones. Well, it might take some time to get used to it though.

As off now, as a budget gaming mouse for a mark below the RM100 range, i do feel the Krait is good indeed. Might not suit many people but still, for me, not a bad mouse.. smile.gif

new razer user here..

got exactmat wit exactrest last week..
ive been always using the cheapo mousepads and after using this razer, i love it..

now im still undecided if im gonna invest in a razer mouse or got for the cheaper A4Tech brand mouse..

DeathAdder looks appealing to me.. i like a BIG mouse biggrin.gif

Whats the point of having a nice mousepad if you will be using al-cheapo A4Tech mouse. Go for a Razer for best combination instead. tongue.gif
