Yup am planning to wait till Dec 2022 to change, just wondering if they will decline because i have mesh wifi until Feb 2023.
Thanks, didn't think of that, will try and ask agent to check contract details. D**i agent should be able to check as well i assume?
Yeah thats what i was afraid of  cry.gif Guess need to confirm everything first before can go shopping for other packages.
*
Just chat with Maya to check contract detail

Eh, nice! Was wondering why 3 years no new model update. Bila nak sampai ya? Hope the price not too crazy and below AX88U. Too bad no 6E function though I currently do not need it. tongue.gif
Now I recall, she mentioned something about getting 6 months something something if you bring in a CR. That time was rushing off coz parked illegally so I didn't quite catch her words though. Damn, didn't know about that else would have gone to maxis to wayang get one number. doh.gif
*
Without the 6 months free billing, then SWU doesn't seem like a good choice
eg current package RM129 100Mbps + VAR
Sacrifice VAR + 2 years contract = RM129 300Mbps
No extra value whatsoever plus TM binds you for another 2 years

QUOTE(NickedAsy @ Oct 4 2022, 04:17 PM)
For those without any access to other providers like Time, for me I don't mind the 2 years binding because at least I'm getting 300mbps instead of 100mbps, provided I wasn't even aware of SWU if not for this forum. I'm actually considered as wasted one year on 100mbps because my contract actually ended last year which I would have jumped to SWU 1.0 if I knew it existed before the deadline. PlayTV is a waste for me as I have never utilized the facility as I have other things.
If a user feels they do not require the extra speed, they can opt to maintain their 100mbps but reduce their monthly costs to RM99. I prefer the speed up as I'm a heavy downloader.
*
VAR package have RM30 value
Remove it and maintain your current speed to get your package price down to RM99, or remove it and get speed upgrade to 300Mbps at the same price RM129
TM allows you access to these "special" package by contracting you for another 2 years

QUOTE(YoungMan @ Oct 4 2022, 04:47 PM)
The value is with the speed upgrade which stays perpetual even after contract.
After contract ends either switch to other ISP or look for special deals again, after 2 years I'm sure there will be other more attractive package at that time
Thus my example of those currently on 100Mbps+VAR at RM129 switching to RM129 300Mbps without 6 months waiver doesn't have any added value
You are just getting package price realignment at the cost of 2 years contract

Hi. I’m on unifi 100Mbps plan. Is it worth it if I add on unifi tv? Does it differ from old tv channels?
*
If you don't have any channel/show that you want to watch that is only available on unifi tv, buying a DVB-T2 decoder/antenna is a better choice
Good picture quality, not affected by weather or connectivity issue, some channels that are not available in unifi tv

i think for newer tv since more than 8 years ago should already equip with DVB-T2 built-in tuner. so one should be able to view those free air channels (digital) by now without any tv box.
*
Yeah, that's why my recommendation is to buy decoder or antenna
You still need the antenna even if your tv have the decoder built in

TM call me, add on RM10 per month, to get mesh wifi, wifi 6 router, disney+ hotstar for 6 month, recontract 24 month
I don take it, i already buy own tp link ax20, why i need TM router
*
I got almost similar offer through whatsapp
Wifi6 router, disney+h 24m, recontract 24m, no need to topup anything

I already have a great wifi6 router, and I already have Netflix which I watch like maybe once a month

Asus AC66u B1 or AC68u if ur speed is 500mbps or less.
Asus AC86u if 800mbps or any AX router with 512MB RAM

There is no benefit in getting AX routers unless majority ur line is 800mbps.
*
AX router not only brings higher speed but also better coverage and wifi connection stability

You can use 169.254.169.123 it from Amazon Time Sync Public NTP. I used that almost 2 years now. No issue at all
*
Nope that address is not routable
That NTP is only reachable from AWS instance only
