For those without any access to other providers like Time, for me I don't mind the 2 years binding because at least I'm getting 300mbps instead of 100mbps, provided I wasn't even aware of SWU if not for this forum. I'm actually considered as wasted one year on 100mbps because my contract actually ended last year which I would have jumped to SWU 1.0 if I knew it existed before the deadline. PlayTV is a waste for me as I have never utilized the facility as I have other things.
If a user feels they do not require the extra speed, they can opt to maintain their 100mbps but reduce their monthly costs to RM99. I prefer the speed up as I'm a heavy downloader.

The value is with the speed upgrade which stays perpetual even after contract.

i think for newer tv since more than 8 years ago should already equip with DVB-T2 built-in tuner. so one should be able to view those free air channels (digital) by now without any tv box.

Asus AC66u B1 or AC68u if ur speed is 500mbps or less.
Asus AC86u if 800mbps or any AX router with 512MB RAM

There is no benefit in getting AX routers unless majority ur line is 800mbps.

You can use 169.254.169.123 it from Amazon Time Sync Public NTP. I used that almost 2 years now. No issue at all
