For those without any access to other providers like Time, for me I don't mind the 2 years binding because at least I'm getting 300mbps instead of 100mbps, provided I wasn't even aware of SWU if not for this forum. I'm actually considered as wasted one year on 100mbps because my contract actually ended last year which I would have jumped to SWU 1.0 if I knew it existed before the deadline. PlayTV is a waste for me as I have never utilized the facility as I have other things.
If a user feels they do not require the extra speed, they can opt to maintain their 100mbps but reduce their monthly costs to RM99. I prefer the speed up as I'm a heavy downloader.
VAR package have RM30 value
Remove it and maintain your current speed to get your package price down to RM99, or remove it and get speed upgrade to 300Mbps at the same price RM129
TM allows you access to these "special" package by contracting you for another 2 years

The value is with the speed upgrade which stays perpetual even after contract.
After contract ends either switch to other ISP or look for special deals again, after 2 years I'm sure there will be other more attractive package at that time
Thus my example of those currently on 100Mbps+VAR at RM129 switching to RM129 300Mbps without 6 months waiver doesn't have any added value
You are just getting package price realignment at the cost of 2 years contract
