need to find out the rm179 300Mbps+ Ultimate pack , is it Ultimate + or Ultimate Max.
*
UltimatePlus - Netflix Basic
UltimateMax - Netflix Standard

You can look at the name of Ultimate* that is bundled with the fibre

I just received once yesterday morning only.
But i think they actually start upgrading their infrastructure few months ago.(Before they promote 1/2gbps plan)
And now they might doing mass upgrade for the Sept upgrade.

Hoping they giving free reasonable upgrade for all users.
*
Already at 2Gbps.
If there's any I want, it's for them to buck up the 1.7Gbps/750Mbps speed to real subscribed speed or price it down to real delivered speed (that would punish them to make deliver better than just best-effort), and return the excess payments since MSAP price was supposed to begin in March not post-September.

Same here. I asked to change Ultimate pack (RM60) to Ruby pack (RM30). TM say cannot. My package already too cheap.
*
your fibre bundled with tv pack as well?
does it discount the tv pack?

my 500Mbps, 1Gbps, 2Gbps includes discount for the bundled tv pack.
TM do accounting sorcery - charge RM60, then apply discount RM60 as part of fibre package benefit.
which makes even if remove tv pack, subscription will not reduce price.

if your subscribed fibre deal never included tv pack in the 1st place, or if it is not given discount treatment by the fibre subscription, then you should be free to act on the tv pack as an add-on. similar to as if you subscribed fibre and then add-on tv pack separately.

tv pack and fibre are 2 separate contracts.
if tv pack is part of fibre deal, then tv pack's minimum subscription period expiry follows expiry of fibre's msp.
if subscribed separate from fibre, standalone tv pack t&c: msp is only the 1st year.

Mine is a bundle when I subscribed back during VIP5. Currently the discount is on internet (349-250=99) + Ultimate (60) = RM159. Also includes STD20.

by right you can terminate tv pack without affecting fibre, because they are separate, the only condition linking them is "can only subscribe tv pack if you are unifi fibre/dsl subscriber".

• maybe other ktards who initially only have tv+fibre and then unsubscribe tv pack can advise if it impacted the fibre pricing.

• maybe other ktards who initially only had fibre and then subscribe tv pack separately can advise if it impacted the fibre pricing.

• additionally, go to web portal, fool around with upgrading tvpack in there to see if it can downgrade without affecting fibre price. i cannot test this for you because i am satisfied with my current tv pack.

until now i read many time also don undersatnd many say cannot remove tv pack

but read here keep saw TM now allow remove tv pack

i think what they meant is, the new fibre deals now does not make it mandatory to outright bundle tv pack.

those complaining are ones that does not want to change their pre-existing fibre deals, mostly due to preferrable pricing acquired over the years. they just want to cut more their current subscription rate further by dropping unnecessary tv packs that was forced onto them before.

i.e. why can't they cut RM60 from their existing tv+fibre RM159 instead of having to replace it with another 2yrs contract of fibre-only RM129 (as example, i didn't check exact pricing).

Currently on unifi 800Mbps - Loyalty Super Value (Broadband + MESH WIFI M9 Plus), no longer in contract.

Please advise what is the best available combo available to subscribe. Not planning the downgrade the speed. It is either:
1. Continue with just broadband alone.
2. Broadband + unifi TV + STD20

tell us how much you are paying lah.
later we recommend 2Gbps you'll say too expensive pulak.

so unless those user change whole plan, mean there is no way remove tv pack
but if remove, no longer got 'special' price
*
yeah. thus, the complains.
tv pack and fibre are separate. can read the t&c. yeah, i'm gonna read the t&c again.

should be able to drop the tvpack as it is just an add-on albeit initially forced onto in the initial years.
and from the telling above, it is not even discounted, in fact paid additionally to the fibre.
if bundled then the expectation is like the current sorcery treatment i.e. charge-then-immediately-discount, so that even if you remove tv pack, the bundle price does not reduce.

they reduce the goody?!

it sucks to pay rm20x24 just to view aneka/varnam/ruby. that's rm149+20 = rm169 pm.

better go 189 to get ultimate plus w/box... disney+h, iqiyi, netflix, lionsgate...
of that's the trend, the offers are now getting worse!!!
*
ultimate plus does not include iqiyi, viu. those are with ultimate max.

The question I have is would anyone think the SWU3.0 is going to be cheaper than the pending new announcement of packages after the slash of MSAP BY 50%?
*
ONE. Nobody knows what's in store for September 2023. Or maybe October. Or November. Or December. I think you can understand how underwhelming our Fahmi is, being toyed by telcos and ISPs. You can see how frantic everyone is trying to secure deals now before they announce the "September" surprise, as everyone is using what happened in 2018 as reference when speed was double and prices was halved. It might not be true this time around with a weak Fahmi needing his wife to drop hints onto him, but everyone is hopeful still.

TWO. MSAP concerns wholesale price between service providers. That's why other HSBB riders had to wait for TM to publish RAO first, then only they'll be able to run simulations for pricing strategy that includes how big the pipeline they can sustain, promotion costs, number of subscribers uptake and churn, etc etc. How it actually translates to lower consumer retail pricing will depend on the provider itself after factoring what else god only knows. So don't set expectations too optimistic and too hopeful of a joyous 50%. as written by business newspaper days ago, the MSAP might not translate to cheaper pricing for lower end of Mbps subscriptions; need to remember there is fixed costs bottom line that cannot go down further applicable to each port, whatever speed one is subscribing to.
