You cannot record vocals into a midi file..... but you can record it into an mp3/wav or similar audio format.....

If you record using the midi as a background music, record your vocals, and then combine it using Adobe's Audition or Cakewalk's Sonar and convert the whole thing into MP3? Yeah..... that's possible too.
