If possible will the results turn out to be Acceptable?

You cannot record vocals into a midi file..... but you can record it into an mp3/wav or similar audio format.....
If you record using the midi as a background music, record your vocals, and then combine it using Adobe's Audition or Cakewalk's Sonar and convert the whole thing into MP3? Yeah..... that's possible too. |

midi is nothing more than a signal. Midi files are just data files without sound. This signal is then routed into something called a sampler which translates the signal into a sound or music or tone etc. And then you can record it together with your voice and it will work. Some pop songs are done entirely that way nowadays. And the quality is not bad.
