This youtube video explains everything why iPhones do not need a back button. nod.gif

Iphone design is much more advanced than you thought. Until today, iOS still does not need a button.

Everytime i see Android phone users pressing the "Back" button. It makes me wanna laugh at them. sweat.gif

You get used to the gestures very fast.

I switched from Samsung S8 to iPhone back in 2019.

But tbh a back button is still a better feature. Just not that important until you really miss it.

Yup that’s why every time I buy a new phone for my dad it will be set up with the 3 buttons.

Trying to explain gestures to 60+ y/o… I don’t need that stress in my life.

The moment my android phone had an update for gestures, I never looked back to using the back button. It's way more intuitive and frees your screen space.

most androids nowadays have swipe gestures to go back. and with phone sizes over 6 inches, it's stupid to put a tiny back button on the top part of the phone.

The only important button on an interface is the back button

That's why the Asha 501 series only feature 1 button which is back

The rest are handled by gestures ala the legendary Nokia N9

Meego Harmattan has perfected the gesture navigation 10 years ago

thanks but no thanks. i prefer specific button for specific function.

3 lines on the left : brings me to list of running apps i can kill/switch to back & forth
Home on the center : self explanatory so i can run new apps
Back on the right : brings me to previous page of the current active apps.

Till this day still good & consistent navigation.

One thing i'm still waiting for is the ability to take screenshot by knocking the screen aside from pressing volume+power button. I not sure if other phone brand but my kolik punya Huashit can do it and look sibeh cool.

Back button all the way.

I only use gestures for the keyboard or in app actions (e.g. swipe email to delete)
