Hi guys i need help on this issue.
Last year 2021 i bought a condo valued at 1.2m during HOC campaign and signed S&P on 2021 too. Govt cover 1m for me so i have to pay the excess 200k at 4% but during hoc campaign i only need to pay 3% even the condo valued over 1m but now they ask me to pay 4%.
I just want to confirm if title changing thing come out after HOC is also my fault? I have to waste 1more %

Importantly, any signed documentation on 3% if yes then you can challenge it otherwise no choice but to pay QUOTE(DearJT @ Feb 24 2022, 11:26 AM) Hi guys i need help on this issue. QUOTE(vinceleo @ Feb 24 2022, 11:35 AM) Importantly, any signed documentation on 3% if yes then you can challenge it otherwise no choice but to pay If I remember it correctly, everything for the hoc is auto and I didn’t sign any document except the S&P. Because it’s government thing and i thought it will stated properly for the dev and lawyer

If is the developer's promo, then check with the sales staff that said so.

I remembered reading a property article it wasnt approved or retract but it was quite sometime back. Since you qualified for the first 1 mil, then there is no reason not to allow the 3%, if approved, even if transfer after hoc.

Ask your lawyer to show you the stamp duty order for the HOC campaign The date of the SPA may be important to see whether your qualify for the 3% or 4%.

They kept mentioning about the year. They said if title change do at 2021 then 3% if after 2021 then back to normal. I wonder if people bought on Dec2021 because of the 3% rate and in the end get 4%

Update about this issue:
Already months of arguing with lawyer side I finally proved right.
If you signed S&P during HOC campaign you are eligible for the 3% stamp duty (If exceeded 1million) but make sure your developers is registered under REHDA website which you can check on Google. (Just Google Rehda and browse thru their website and screenshot send it to lawyer side)
Lawyer will keep challenging you until you show them proof about this thing so please don’t give up so easily just because what they say.
I hope this helped anyone who having this kind of trouble.

These are progressive rate bands. So it means the amount from 1M to 1.2 M is at 4%. Doesn’t mean the whole amount is levied. You will be exempt from the 1st 1M which is static for all.
Just read properly yea refer to all the publications that came out in the period.
