Could be a number of things:

1. You moved when you snapped the picture.
- Happens when you don't use a fast enough shutter speed.

2. Subject moved when you snapped the picture.
- Same as above, certain situations require certain speeds to stop motion.

3. Your subject was out of focus.

But we can't really tell unless you post a picture for an example.
