In the consumer market, there are a lot of practical uses for such capabilities i.e. high heat generation. Imagine using your CPU/GPU to heat your house, heat/boil the water, cook food and other stuff that needs high temperature!!! laugh.gif Hmmmm.... maybe even an electric generator using steam? hmm.gif

Not enough heat? OC kaw kaw then just play some games or run folding!!! thumbup.gif

if it's hot enough to fry eggs... it will be hot enough to melt the solders of ur mobos... so u will end up having lots of mobo spare parts which u can spare me to play wif.... if they are not fried wif the eggs tat is... laugh.gif

heat= lot of resistance, very low efficiency

i dont think it's a good idea for gpu/cpu running hot but good for extreme oc without turning the cpu/gpu into glass

haha... not mixing lar... if got something tat claims it can do something to the extreme there will always be ppl who will go and "test" it... like if an OC pro say a certain RAM+mobo+proc can OC kaw kaw then the rest will go and buy them and add loads of other stuff and OC it... rite...? laugh.gif

when a pcu/gpu has high heat tolerance, for sure someone will do something funny to push it to the limit.

and yes, both are completely different aspect.
