Not all car engine got engine block coolant plug. Like small car engine perodua, no drain plug on engine block. Only way to drain completely is through remove thermostat.

What happens to the coolant when it's "too late"? Can explain?
*
older the coolant, the coolant becomes more acidic. too old the coolant, it will rust out your car internals, radiator, thermostat, coolant hoses.

there is 1 simple tool that you can use to measure coolant "performance"

if out of specs then can consider change

but malaysia dont care that much because we no winter
*
Unfortunately this one only measures the anti-freeze power of the coolant, it cant detect the pH value of the coolant, I suppose you could use those pH testing strips to see if the coolant is too acidic.

If your coolant is made with OAT, it doesn't turn acidic.

And the best way of knowing when to change the coolant, is indeed, the color change.
*
Hmmm. Not sure whether that’s really true or not. Scotty k says even hoat based Toyota gets acidic.

at 1:20, he checks the coolant pH with a test strip.

About the color change, my p2 coolant from factory day one is close to five years and still looks the same. Factory manual says to change every 2 years or 40 k( my is 120k). I’m not going to chance it and going to replace it soon. Who knows, maybe OAT based coolants trait a very long time to change color?

Spritzer Distilled water + toyota coolant...

Or full premix-ed coolant like TCL.

Do descaling too... before change new coolant.
*
Where to get distilled? Supermarket tesco lotus only sell mineral and drinking water

I do at my mechanic. The coolant he just drain out only...he no kutip also. Yeah i know its toxic..
The picture is i burp the coolant for another 20mins because he just do one fan cycle. Honda said need 2 fan cycles. Go in extra around almost 1L also..
*
That’s because he drained the engine block also. If you just drain the radiator won’t have to bleed so much air.

Different car manufacturer got different material for their cooling system & water hose.
My mechanic encountered before certain cars put in different coolant type/color, it can be use but after sometime the water hose expand (bengkak) and water pump seal area leaking. Some coolant might not compatible to certain seals or hose material thus can cause water leakage. No rust, but water hose & water pump all gg..  doh.gif After that experience, my mechanic usually recommend to pick up original coolant or at least similar color for coolant.
*
I agree this one. Honda uses the blue coolant stuff likely HOAT, Toyota long life is probably just OAT.

Different car has different way especially there is a breathing screw u need to open while filling a empty radiator system.
*
Not all cars have a bleed screw. And the bleed screw also is just to bleed out air faster. Doing the burp method like TS works, just take longer.

Ic.

What will happen If use concentrated one 100% without mixing with water, those come is 500ml or so bottle.
*
Too concentrated. Just put one bottle coolant and one bottle water. That is 50:50 mix

Need to know the way to do , even got breath screw if not doing it carefully the system will masuk anging later wasted the coolant again , when start the car it will not giving any sign , after 5-10min run then u will see water temp rising and down , up and dowm very unstable
*
Workshop manual for Toyota says to pour the coolant slowly, 1 liter per minute in order to minimize air getting into the system. And squeeze the top radiator hoses after that. But still need to burp the system like TS later.

No lar that is old knowledge. Nowadays some battery water is distilled water + chemical.
They no update their knowledge not my fault le..

Old knowledge - battery water is 100% distilled water
New knowledge - some battery water is distilled water + chemical.
*
hmm.. I just bought 3 bottles of battery water from BHP. not sure whether safe to use or not like that. hard to find distilled water
all sold in minimart is now RO water.

edit: the only thing it says it has a MAX manganese content of 0.1mg/kg (0.01%)

edit2: guess its deionized, based on the conductivity, 1mS/m max, well within the specs for deionized water conductivity (max 2mS/m)
