Hi guys, do provide me with some guidance/opinions on selecting between these 2 air purifiers : DYSON Cool Formaldehyde TP09 or AMWAY Lombok III AP-1520C

Will be moving into a newly renovated home (new paints, new built in cabinets, furnitures etc) hence is looking to invest in an air purifier which is efficient in eliminating VOC’s and formaldehyde.

Seems like the new Dyson TP09 air purifier has got some really good reviews.
Any users of the AMWAY air purifier here that’s able to give some input on the efficacy?

What is the cost for each replacement filters ?

DYSON - RM299 for replacement filter
Not sure about the COWAY one as what I enquired is for a 5year rental contract, fee is RM90/mth including service every 2months plus filter change as required (fine dust filter change every 4mths, HEPA 1year, catalyst+deodorisation every 2yrs)

It'll be cheaper to exhaust the air out (change the air). I'm afraid that (due to the size of the unit) it may clog up the filter wastefully.

Which unit are you referring to? DYSON or COWAY

just air the house
but frankly, the formaldehyde lingers for years.
it's better to use safe material.

Yea it’ll be a continuous emission unfortunately. Hence is looking to invest in a reliable air purifier that is able to effectively reduce formaldehyde levels

Most air quality / formadelhyde sensors have a limited lifespan. I was told Dyson’s one would last lifetime. The noise doesn’t bother me much in fact my wife prefers to have white noise at night.

You’re using a dyson then I’m assuming? How’s the experience thus far? Worth the money spent?

that's the reason I choose ikea.
formaldehyde free

I have a cheapo wardrobe. 5 years of airing still stinks of formaldehyde
BTW, consider xiaomi air purifier. they have dedicated filter for formaldehyde

I’ve bought one for a smaller bedroom actually. Is looking for other reliable options for bigger space - living room with open kitchen (heaps of new built-in cabinets there)
