Hi guys, not sure if this is the right place to post but I'm looking to send an older 50" TV to a friend in Subang from Klang. Any suggestions on what the best way to do this is? I can't drive it over myself because I'm not sure if I can lift/fit it into the car myself and am worried it'll tip over in the car. I also no longer have the TV box but I have a different TV box that may do the trick.
Is Lalamove or a similar courier the best option? I'm also worried about damage to the TV if they transport it. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

50" can fit in most cars, most likely nothing will happen to the tv

What kind of tv? If flat screen, 50" can easily fit in the back seat of a myvi. It's light enough to maneuver yourself, and you can lay it at an angle on the seat.

Have you tried measuring the TV vs the interior of your car? Also, is there people that can help you carry said TV from the table into the car. If both options are possible, transport it yourself.
Remove the TV stand. Secure the screws with tape to the TV stand so that you don't lose it.
Put a towel over the TV panel, not the back. Put a few layers of cardboard on top of the towel. Then use a duvet or more towels to wrap the entire thing. Secure them with tape. Put the TV and the stand in your car and go to Subang.

I use saga FL and I had no issues with transporting my 50" TV by myself. 50" should be light enough to be able to be carried alone (55" is the max I am willing to carry alone) and still fit in your car comfortably. Just make sure the screen is facing the car rear car seat, and angle it so that the TV won't launch itself forward if you do any emergency brake.
Heck, I didn't even bother with a TV box / bubble wrap

For 50", you can ask courier services, they might still agree delivery for you. This is the cheapest way. Most courier only accept up to 43" TV.
I just send a 65" to my home town, drive distance is around 2.5 hours. I just ask grab driver that paste lalamove advertisement. The reason I do this as I can go back together with driver. No such option if using lalamove. This is also the safer way for both party.

That sounds like something that might fit me, how did you find Grab driver that pastes Lalamove ads/willing to carry TV with passenger?

50in fits most cars..myvi, vios, pickup truck etc. Camry despite the width is pretty useless at anything 55" or larger. 60in w/box is about the limit of a pickup truck bed.
Best to keep the TV vertical. Do not lay flat.

Any other suggestions? Thanks! If its a plasma tv, then it's kinda hard/impossible to carry this on your own. I transported my own 50" plasma tv from shop using vios >10 years ago. I think it's much easier since plasma tv have really solid built and weight to it than lcd/led tv. No, forget the box, it won't fit. I dismantled the box and just barely managed to fit the tv into the rear seat. I believed after I get the tv, I just lower the front passenger seat until it touched the tv to secured it from moving while driving. Worked for me but distance is just 5 minutes from shop.

QUOTE(andrekua2 @ Feb 1 2022, 07:13 AM) How did you fit 65" into a car? It is a 7 seat car which just nice fit for the 65" TV without the box and also dismantle the leg by push in the TV straight stand in the center in between the chair to hold it.
