Speaking from experience from S10e, S22 not really just incremental, 5G, 120hz variable refresh rate screen, 25w charging, better battery life, brighter screen, esim, bettery camera system. But there is some lost too, no micro SD card slot, no MST Samsung pay, no 3.5mm jack. But comes to the end, does this important for u? If not, hold ur money and wait. For me, 5G alone is the upgrading factor even Malaysia is not really physical ready to use.
Coming from S10e, one big thing I dislike is the fingerprint scanner. For S10e, the placement was just perfect (at the side), but here, it is built into the phone body.
Also, I could use the fingerprint scanner on the side to pull down the notification bar, here of course can't do the same.
On the whole, it's like an upgraded version of S10e, but is it really a generational difference? I honestly do not think so. It's more of an incremental update.
Also, officially the screen is slighlty bigger, 6.1 inch vs 5.8 inch, but actually, they're pretty much the same size. If you really compare side by side, S22 is slightly taller, but that's it. The S22 form factor builds on the amazing S10e form factor. It squeezes more screen in due to less bezels and also slightly longer aspect ratio (19.5:9 vs 19:9 for S10e).
