But, I've had the S10e, which itself runs hot at times, and have never faced this issue in over 3 years!

Honestly I've had the phone for a couple of days now, no real wow factor. Yes, smoother screen, slightly better battery life, slightly faster, larger internal memory, double the storage space, better camera..but they all seem like "incremental" improvements. Kinda shocked I'm not wowed even more as I'm switching phones after 38 months.

But I decided to get it now to take advantage of the extra RM2,500 tax claim for digital devices and also cause my S10e screen would sometimes flicker (afraid it dies out and can't get any value for it then). Plus additional consideration was that S10e battery life was getting really poor, and also I was hitting was 128GB storage limit over the past few months.

Coming from S10e, one big thing I dislike is the fingerprint scanner. For S10e, the placement was just perfect (at the side), but here, it is built into the phone body.

Also, I could use the fingerprint scanner on the side to pull down the notification bar, here of course can't do the same.

On the whole, it's like an upgraded version of S10e, but is it really a generational difference? I honestly do not think so. It's more of an incremental update.

Also, officially the screen is slighlty bigger, 6.1 inch vs 5.8 inch, but actually, they're pretty much the same size. If you really compare side by side, S22 is slightly taller, but that's it. The S22 form factor builds on the amazing S10e form factor. It squeezes more screen in due to less bezels and also slightly longer aspect ratio (19.5:9 vs 19:9 for S10e).

Why not 20w? I thought S22 tops out at 25w? So the charging limit should be the iPad charger's cap of 20w, no? What am I missing here?

Yes correct when phone idle. Mine is base S22 snapdragon. It happens for a split second though. First time it happened, I thought I was imagining things. Then again a few days later. It’s such a short while and only in a small section of the screen.

Should I be worried? If I go to Samsung I don’t think I can reproduce the issue.

I bought a decent clear case at launch, but 2 years already damn yellow. Looking for something slim and will not yellow too fast. My old case started yellowing within a month or two.

Anybody on the base S24 and with absolutely terrible battery life? I've had the phone almost 2 years now. Even with power saving turned on, it's damn near impossible to go a full day without plugging in. If I turn power saving off, won't last even half a day and the phone is usually running warm if not outright hot. I don't even play games or take photos/videos often.

I thought we have the Snapdragon version here.
