My list of injury is long - dislocated shoulder after opponent landed on it in a challenge, damaged knee ligaments after being sent flying in a bad tackle and hairline fractured my tibia after falling and rolling my ankle badly while stretching for a loose ball. 2 months ago suffered a hairline fracture to my toe / metatarsal after kicking opponents foot instead of the ball after he nicked the ball away at the last moment when i tried to shoot. Contemplating to retire from playing completely, since i seem to have the worse luck when it comes to injury.

The very same reasons why i don't do tackles and challenges for the ball anymore. Stretching for the ball also have to be careful! Now i just go near / in front of the opponent to cover his angle to shoot and pass. Don't even dare to try to "curi" the bola from him unless i know the player and play play only not serious.

QUOTE(aztechx @ Sep 27 2007, 03:29 AM) i was just wondering..what to do when i have serious cramps...stretching helps abit but the pain doesnt go away..there was a time when i had a bad cramp on the muscles behind my shin..had a long lay off before the game that day and played for 2 hours straight...then suddenly my left leg gave way..damn painful worr.. was on my back for quite sumtime..before this never kena before..i tried doing the usual stretches and jogged at the sidelines before trying to get backj into the field..there still was a slight pain but i continued..suddenly my right leg pulak got signs of cramps..my friend asked me to stop as he said it was dangerous..so finally..my question is...why is playing through cramps dangerous?my legs were aching 2-3 days after the game as well..god..i think thats what a month of 'laziness' can do to ur fitness.. Bro do warmups and streching before you play and drink isotonic drinks when you play. Loosing too much minerals in your body through sweating, that's why you're cramping mate. |

QUOTE(aztechx @ Nov 22 2007, 05:36 PM) had a very hard knock on my thighs while playing a few days back..sum idiot rammed my thighs with his knees and got me limping off..i played through the whole game as that was the last futsal session with my friends before i come back to kl..lepas geram properly..but towards the end..the pain was unbearable and i decided to stop...next morning i couldnt walk properly..but thot it wud go off after a few days..problem is..its already 1 week since i first got the injury..theres only a slight pain when i bend or squat..but the weird thing is..everytime i get out of a sitting position or i stretch my legs..there is a gradual pain all the way from the injured spots to my knees..not really painful but its annoying..the pain will just slowly come and go...the thing that worries me is how come theres a pain in my knees when i got injured on my thighs??anyone? Mate better check if you have suffered some soft tissue damaged or muscle tear. Maybe can try to message it with some cream or ointment but not too hard. |

QUOTE(madmoz @ Nov 22 2007, 05:52 PM) Does hockey count? The last time i went for a message at those Chinese sifu messagers - i didn't moan or shout, i just head freaking tears rolling down me eyes!!!! Back in my school days, i twisted my ankle badly playing hockey... so as usual it was a trip to the 'chinese si-fu' and the age old twistie treatment. There was a queue as usual and we could hear the patients groaning and screaming in pain. Then came my turn. When i came out, me mates said something to the effect of "F*ck, you're one hard fella. Not a whimper from you!" » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |
