Umm....

Have you played it? if yet then it's okay....you are entitled to your own opinion...

But I personally thinks it is a great masterpiece of a PS3 software. graphics wise...no other console adventure games comes close. The animation is the best I've seen to date.

All this is of course seen thru the PSN Video Demo in HD. But I reserve my final judgment after I've played the demo..

we of course are entitled to our own opinion.

p/s: I trust Naughty Dog since they first made the first Crash Bandicoot game...since then, they have never failed to impress and WOW me...so based on that alone I will buy this game...not to mention this game will rock based on all the previews from all the websites.

Daaaaaaamnnnnnnn...

That's sweet...

Well, I can still live without DS3. Even if it's available now...I still kenot buy em....POKAI oredy laaa...

And I'm buying Uncharted first before the controller....or maybe controller before the game....

hmmm...rumble first or play first.....it will be 1 month apart as I can only spend about 250 a month...

Quite the conundrum I have here...

Well I am waiting for stringfellow and rx's replies.

And it's not about whether PSN games are good or not, well for me there are good games there but that is not the point. My concern is regarding the DLC (download content) of games you purchase from real shops.

If I have a US version of Uncharted, and if ND decides to come up with new DLC for Uncharted, only the DLC of Uncharted from US PSN would work on my US version game.

The Asian DLC for Uncharted would only work with the asian game. Correct me if I am wrong. If you have a US version for Motorstorm or Resistance, try downloading the DLC of either games from the SG PSN. See whether it works. If it works, then one question regarding the PSN is being solved, at least for me if no one else cares about it like I do.

It may seem insignificant now. But what IF, you own an Asian PS3 and you got US PS3 games since the start and later when DLC for games starts popping out, you find out that you can't update your game content because you are unable to purchase from the US PSN. Not sure bout you, but for me it's quite wasted IMHO.

That is why I need this to be clarified. If DLC matters not to anyone, kudos to them but I am a person who loves to keep his game updated. That's just me.

And yes I have been searching for days. But what is the use of the LYN forum if I don't use it to ask questions? There are people who might know this. Right?  smile.gif

Sorry, but I just want to make sure about stuffs. I am investing hundred/thousand of ringgits with my PS3, so I would like to know how things work out.

And yes, I wouldn't mind if no one could answer me, because I will be getting the AMBank prepaid credit card ater I am back from China and test it out myself if no one could answer my question. If it works, then I will post here so that people who are like me would get their questions, answered.

Muchi...

I believe RX have answered you question some post/page back...We can top up SG PSN and US PSN using the AM bank NextG card. Personally I've done so. I've bought Piyotama, Super Stardust HD, Calling all Cars, Tekken 5 DR, Everyday Shooter, and a few other older games. All using NextG card.

And for you info, we have to top up the PSN wallet before we can buy anything. So when you've successfully top up up your acc, you card would have been charged already hence no refund at this point.

Personally, I've bought the NextG card specifically for PSN wallet purpose as I myself do not use a CC. I have no prob to top up my wallet from both PSN (SG and US) and the last time I tried was about a month or two ago. I'll be topping up again in about a day or two to my US PSN to buy the Motorstorm DLC. you might wanna wait till that time to see if it still can be done.

On the matter of DLC for one region and another. I 'believe' (cannot confirm) one cannot update a US game with an ASIAN DLC. Specifically, each region have diff Game ID (applies for both the disc and savegame files) even though it the same game. The game DLC will somehow try to find the the Game ID that is installed in the HDD. So if the said Game ID does not exist in your HDD, you're screwed.

Same thing if you've installed a DLC from SG PSN, then when you boot up the US game, it will try to find the DLC with the same Game ID that resides in your HDD. Here it will not be able to find the DLC as the Game ID does not exist.

I hope you can understand this....remember the DLC thingy above is my personal take on it without any reference. and for the record, I don't want to waste my precious SGD9.99 on an unusable SG Motorstorm DLC when I should have bought the US one.

You'd have a faster answer if you were to go to AM Bank website. Remember next time google.com is your friend.

But as a token, I'll tell you.

I bought it at a 7-11 shop in flora damansara when I was visiting a friend. I believe most 7-11 shop have it. Other that that place I don't know.

I'll cost you RM25 to get the card. then you have to top up the account as the RM25 kira processing fee.

That is why I think AM Bank Website is the best place to get the info.

Lol at long last. Thanx for the reply  rclxms.gif

So the billing address does not matter? As long as my US/SG PSN account has it's respective country's address, correct? And regarding the NextG card. Do I need to request for a specific NextG card or there is only one type of NextG card.

stringfellow said something about an American version NextG card?  hmm.gif
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Yep I know that, was pointing that out to ruzty.  laugh.gif As long as we can download from the US PSN we won't have to try using the Asian DLC to check whether it works on the US game or not.  thumbup.gif

So I will wait for your update after you purchase your Motorstorm DLC from the US PSN.  thumbup.gif

Regarding the address, I have to try a few times (and adjusting my address) till the system accept it. The adress is auto populate IIRC, just try to use the auto populate one first before you change any of them. I've confirmed with the people from AM Bank, they will only use the name and card number for verification and not the address. Again you'd have to do trial and error for this and see what works.

I just saw one NextG card...infact I don't think there's an American NextG Card...It's just a basic Debit card with Mastercard transactions enabled. That's is all it is. and NextG card can be used in and also out of the country. You might want to call teh call centre to enable online trx ans some banks tends to block online trx for security reasons.

But all in all, remember SONY can always stop the access for cards outside of US anytime they want. Just like they did for HK PSN in the early years of PSN. So today you may be able to purchase it from US PSN but that doesn't means that next week/month/year you can still do so.

Funny but nonetheless an interesting read

Dust voids PS3 Warranty

don't get me wrong, i don't hate the ps3. In fact, i've been dieing to get one sooner or later
*
Yup...here I agree with SONY....why would you want to pay for something which is not your fault. The owner should know that ventilation is important for PS3 and 360. to have dust in the PS3 would prevent proper ventilation for optimal PS3 operation.

His fault laaa...if not...I would like to get Proton to replace my engine because I let water get into the engine which makes the engine go bust.

I really feel for him but he should fight to at least get SONY to pproof that the dust causes the machine to go bust and not just by saying that the ports and slots were dusty so warranty's void. When he says he have a dust-less room. this has somehow destroy all my confidence in him.

QUOTE(Muchi @ Nov 11 2007, 11:01 AM)
Hmm. Is your PSN wallet empty right now? You could try going through the top up process. When you get pass the billing address page, it means it works. And don't worry, you could still cancel the purchase on the next page.

Think you could check it?

It's okay if you can't. Thanx for the reply  rclxms.gif
*
You've only need to enter the billing add once. Like last time, after I've successfully enter the billing add and it has been accepted. wach time I top up the account, I don't have to confirm my billing add again.

I just choose to top up then choose the amount. they don't even show me the billing add.

Again, I hope you get what I mean.

Muchi, I think the best way to do this is to try it yourself once you've got the time and card. try to modify the billing add a bit till you've succeeded.

If your CC was declined try to check with the bank whether they have received any 'charge' from SONY or whether it's the bank that rejected the trx. Try also to confirm with the bank the address to input to make sure that the card will be accepted

First, Sorry notworthy.gif if my post seems hostile to you. I really don't meant it that way.

It seems that you've been asking a rather general questions. Since you've tried it already, Please try and be specific about the add that you've used.

Is it Malaysian billing add or the auto-populated one. I can't give you the whole add that I've put in my acc if you want but you'd have to wait till after 1 am tonight as I'm still at the office now (on night shift)

You've mentioned that you've called the bank already so what is their answer? Does the add plays a part for the bank to determine whether to reject or to accept the trx? because from my bank they said that the bank never give out any billing address for online retailer to verify and they also only used the number on the card for verification. So this means that the address that I input only matter to SONY.

That is why I fiddle around with the address till I can get it accepted. This applies to both US and SG PSN. After a few failed attempt, you'd have to wait about 15 minutes to try again (this is for security reason). It's normal

p/s: On a side note, there's no such thing as Prepaid Credit Card. It is called Debit card or Prepaid Charge Card.

lapaq, are you using the same CC for your US & SG PSN? bcuz, i've been using AMbank NexG CC for my US PSN, works just fine. But it doesn't work for my SG PSN, It says ''the card detail is not valid'', am i missing something?
*
Yup both using NextG card. No prob...which means MasterCard should have no prob.

Guys i need to know one must have game

COD 4 is soundling like a bad idea since the online is screwed up

the shooting mechanic in drake's fortune is twitchy for me

what else  is good eh
*
I'm playing COD4 and I liked it so very very much...it even tops Warhawk and Resistance (barely only --> Insomniac fan). Sure it sucks when you've got a bad connection but once you've got a great connection...you feel like playing till forever and ever one...

Online every game will have some kind of online problem at start...remember Resistance region server fiasco...and Warhawk "server full and wrong stats" issues?

Well look at the game a few patches later and it's all super great...

As for Drake's....well it's your preference...

Oh and rx is right...Gears of Wars would be great for you...

Yep, but heard got frame rate issues.
*
Just finished listening to 1up Yours Podcast. Apparently, they've got the retail disc at their office and they've mentioned that mos of the significant framerate issues that they experienced in the previous build have been ironed out and only a few remains (like in other multi platform games by EA).

The review is not out yet but they said that it's still a must buy game and the only thing is that if one own both a 360 and a PS3 buy the 360 version and if you have a great PC...go get the PC version instead (better audience for Team Fortress compared to 360..dunno how worse the players are for PS3).

I'm thinking of buying it (still depends on the final review score) but after I bought UT3.

Oh and about the question of whether I regret buying a PS3...

Damn...I wish I bought a 360 instead....but what to do damaged has been done...
*in the spirit of 69...again...

p/s: Just joking...seriously though...Why the hell would I regret buying it...ever since I bought it in March....when there's only Resistance and Motorstorm worth playing....those two games kept me company..and I still have GOW II at the time to play.

I just don't get it when people ask whether we regret buying it or not....it is all based on preference and by now...everybody should be able to figure out why would one want to buy a PS3 already...

For TF2.....you guys have to really think it through...

It's a multiplayer game....so if there are not THAT many people playing this game...then multiplayer may not be a blast to play....and we also don't know for how long it will last as a PS3 multiplayer game with COD4, UT3, Warhawk and Resistance taking up a whole chunk of PS3 multiplayer gamers time...

But, If I bought it (depends of the review of the game framerate prob - Game wise I'll buy it but if the prob is so serious that it'll affect gameplay..then I'm getting the PC version)...I'll not put much hope in TF2...only HL2, EP1, EP2 and Portal only.
