Well I am waiting for stringfellow and rx's replies.
And it's not about whether PSN games are good or not, well for me there are good games there but that is not the point. My concern is regarding the DLC (download content) of games you purchase from real shops.
If I have a US version of Uncharted, and if ND decides to come up with new DLC for Uncharted, only the DLC of Uncharted from US PSN would work on my US version game.
The
Asian DLC for Uncharted would only work with
the asian game. Correct me if I am wrong. If you have a US version for Motorstorm or Resistance, try downloading the DLC of either games from the SG PSN. See whether it works. If it works, then one question regarding the PSN is being solved, at least for me if no one else cares about it like I do.
It may seem insignificant now.
But what IF, you own an Asian PS3 and you got US PS3 games since the start and later when DLC for games starts popping out, you find out that you can't update your game content because you are unable to purchase from the US PSN. Not sure bout you,
but for me it's quite wasted IMHO.That is why I need this to be clarified. If DLC matters not to anyone, kudos to them but I am a person who loves to keep his game updated. That's just me.
And yes I have been searching for days. But what is the use of the LYN forum if I don't use it to ask questions? There are people who might know this. Right?
Sorry, but I just want to make sure about stuffs. I am investing hundred/thousand of ringgits with my PS3, so I would like to know how things work out.
And yes, I wouldn't mind if no one could answer me, because I will be getting the AMBank prepaid credit card ater I am back from China and test it out myself if no one could answer my question. If it works, then I will post here so that people who are like me would get their questions, answered.

Muchi...
I believe RX have answered you question some post/page back...We can top up SG PSN and US PSN using the AM bank NextG card. Personally I've done so. I've bought Piyotama, Super Stardust HD, Calling all Cars, Tekken 5 DR, Everyday Shooter, and a few other older games. All using NextG card.
And for you info, we have to top up the PSN wallet before we can buy anything. So when you've successfully top up up your acc, you card would have been charged already hence no refund at this point.
Personally, I've bought the NextG card specifically for PSN wallet purpose as I myself do not use a CC. I have no prob to top up my wallet from both PSN (SG and US) and the last time I tried was about a month or two ago. I'll be topping up again in about a day or two to my US PSN to buy the Motorstorm DLC. you might wanna wait till that time to see if it still can be done.
On the matter of DLC for one region and another. I 'believe' (cannot confirm) one cannot update a US game with an ASIAN DLC. Specifically, each region have diff Game ID (applies for both the disc and savegame files) even though it the same game. The game DLC will somehow try to find the the Game ID that is installed in the HDD. So if the said Game ID does not exist in your HDD, you're screwed.
Same thing if you've installed a DLC from SG PSN, then when you boot up the US game, it will try to find the DLC with the same Game ID that resides in your HDD. Here it will not be able to find the DLC as the Game ID does not exist.
I hope you can understand this....remember the DLC thingy above is my personal take on it without any reference. and for the record, I don't want to waste my precious SGD9.99 on an unusable SG Motorstorm DLC when I should have bought the US one.
