QUOTE(small-jeff @ Oct 9 2007, 01:16 PM) dunno whether this has been posted before, but the other day i saw in a HK forum, ppl there use Linux as their PS3 OS. Didnt read through all the techinical stuff (dont understand it anyway). Anyone tried it? What's good bout having Linux OS on PS3 anyway? It's good if you don't have PC at home.. you can do basically almost anything that normal PC can do.. internet browsing, YM, MSN messaging, document processing (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc), video playback (XVid, etc), image editing, torrent, etc.. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

QUOTE(sayming @ Oct 9 2007, 01:56 PM) No difference actually except for Yellow Dog Linux; it's officially supported by Sony. YDL engineers is working closely with Sony engineers to develop new drivers for PS3 open platform. And, I heard they are currently in discussion on allowing RSX access from Linux. |

QUOTE(redbull_y2k @ Oct 9 2007, 03:33 PM) Yeah... most hddvd player, you have limited choice especially here where we only have the Toshiba hddvd player selling for RM2499. Most other major electronic brands supports BD instead of HDDVD. So cheapest option to get hddvd player is to buy the HDDVD add-on for the 360 and hook it up to your PC. You'll need a high-end PC though. PC aku bleh tak, bull?
