QUOTE(WinnieH @ Jun 27 2008, 07:12 PM) will there be a test? chemistry, maths or biologY????? my friend who went to pharmacy interview had to sit for chemistry test... i've been reading biology, just in case... hi winnie, for pharmacy there is a chem test. however for med as far as i know there is no tests. during my interview the questions were not about studies. the interviewers didnt even take a look at the certificates that we had brought along. the dean asked us the perennial question "why do u want to be a dr", and also about our opinion on some current affairs, nothing to get worried about. the interviewers wanna know about ur personality and command of english. just be yourself and u'll be alright what time is ur interview btw? just relax and go do it with a smile |

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Just to add a bit to what Student21 has said about the books, you will probably get the book list of recommended books from the lecturers when the course starts, though I recommend that you talk to some of the seniors about which books to buy and which to borrow and stuff. It boils down to personal preference; some of us have tons of books, and another might just have 1 or 2. |

QUOTE(WinnieH @ Jun 28 2008, 09:44 AM) oh my god. current affairs...? hehe, the questions arent difficult to answer, but they are mainly to gauge how you approach certain issues and also about ur personality. If memory serves me right, the Dean asked us to discuss about "unity among youths in malaysia" or smting like dat. So u see, the question is open ended and it depends on your own outlook to answer it. They are many good answers for the question, but a BAD answer would be something like, "I dont bother Datuk Roslani, Doctors just need to focus on their jobs, etc"and by the way my interview is 930am at dean's office, school of medicine. During my interview there were 5 who went in together, and although our answers were different, we all passed it Hopefully this puts u at ease |

QUOTE(Dexxy @ Jul 1 2008, 11:50 AM) Hello everyone.. i plan to study music at ucsi ..is it ok? ..n wat's d different between north n south wing hostel? ..which 1 is more suitable for music course student? ..Any1 here taking music courses? hi Dexxy, I also heard ucsi music is quite ok.. jason18689 got say about hostel and angkasa condo, now i talk about renting a room in taman connaught housing area. staying in the housing area is very convenient i guess, can go in and come out anytime u want. also everything is within walking distance, including the famous pasar malam also, for me i feel that the environment is quiet compared to angkasa. however, rent in house may be more expensive than angkasa, and no swimming pool (but recommend u dont swim in angkasa anyway u should come and take a look at the 3 main places (aka hostel/angkasa condo/housing area) and then only make ur decision. |

QUOTE(Claudia_tnt @ Jul 14 2008, 11:20 PM) Aiks! Ooohh.. i just wanted to know, cos food science & nutrition is a really popular course at ucsi.. im not a food science student, so at least i can find out y ppl choose ucsi for this course Well, why I choose ucsi is that 1st of all I like this course and the only private uni that provide this course is ucsi. Others private uni do provide tis course but the fees a bit outta budget + hv to do twinning,so... I can't enter public uni as I'm taking A-levels.Besides,the fees r price wise compares to other unis With my result I can get the internal scholarship which is an added reason. Well, that will be it I think. But why ask me why I choose ucsi?Isit sth wrong with err anything about it? well, sorry to alarm u abt the scholarship thingy. Im not sure about it, cos it was just something that i heard, dono true or not~~ best 4 u to check with the college ya! |

QUOTE(jerk @ Jul 18 2008, 07:56 PM) where is the nearest place to post something ? go to CMC mall (aka giant) right next to angkasa. the post office is located above one of the cafes (1st floor). dont go into the mall itself, go to the back part of the building where there are restaurants..i mean i wan to do normal postage.not those courrier service. or maybe most convinient? like which big mall has a pos malaysia. |
