I have Volte and yet I have more problems with normal calls compared to calls made with Whatsapp.

Problems I encountered.
1. Connection could takes a few MINUTES to make. Sometimes, no connection at all. Switch to Whatsapp, connection made.
2. Calls quality could start off very good and after 10 or 15 minutes, calls quality went over the cliff with unintelligent quality with static etc. Again switch over to Whatsapp, no problem with call quality.

Not sure problem is with the Samsung Note20 phone or Redone.

Happens all the time 100% or only during signal reception is 2 bars and below?

interesting observation. this applies to all telco/phone models?

Most probably due to "interference" from our ends or from the other caller's ends...

VoLTE will only work if both parties are connected to VoLTE.

Maybe me re-phrase:
VoLTE "benefits" only "effective" when both parties are on VoLTE connections.

You need to make 200 minutes of calls per month before they activate for you. If next month you do not make 200 minutes of calls, they deactivate it.

I have 2 phones and one got Volte and the other doesn't. So I contacted Redone and that's what they told me

Calls on Volte is worst than Whatsapp calls. So now using Whatsapp calls more often.

regarding the 200 minutes it is true LOL I just ask their CS before seeing this.
RedONE is already support for VOLTE, but depend on the smartphone customer use. if the smartphone support for VOLTE then you can use as usual. but in order to activated you will need to make call for 200minutes and the following month will activate for VOLTE.

May i ask, why do you still stay with redone even if calls are bad on volte and need to use 200 mins to activate that volte??


My neighbour using umobile volte so horrible cant make any calls but he only paying so little for unlimited data and calls so isok. What does redone offer?? The last i used their service was 2004 lol

I paid RM38 for 8G data (more than enough) and free calls. Some line I seldom use pay RM8. Often use phone in rural areas so have to keep to telco that has wide coverage. Got any suggestion?

Hmmm sounds like celcom xpax 35 would be perfect for you, if you need the coverage

Got volte for celcom prepaid but need to call customer service ( first time only)

And redone uses celcom anyway for network so it should be the same

Also, when you are at the rural places you go, you can try do network search on your phone to see what other are available there too

Im not too sure actually. Since voip is an internet protocol, it might just be that redones volte sucks.

Most of the problems i had with celcom were to do with signal availability, but call quality was perfect when it worked

If you have enough signal to make a whatsapp call it should be more than enough to make a proper volte call on celcom

Umobile is the only network i know who’s volte gets so congested that it is unusable

Celcom is worse tbh.. I am using yoodo i am experiencing poor call quality too
