Hey, I plan to connect light switch to connect to 3 pin plug.
As my socket is under the wall TV cabinet. I have to squat down to switch off and on everytime. Like make off and on switch somewhere near the TV cabinet while the main switch remain on whole time.

I plan to use 3 pin plug then to switch then to 3 pin socket.

3 pin plug top - - Switch - - Socket.
I saw one hotel they put the switch outside connected to 3 pin plug to power up the mini bar.

Why not just extend the socket's L&N (two wires only) up to a more accessible position (using a WH 20A switch), so that the switch is more visible and no need to crawl around?

Ya. My situation is that my socket is under the table.
Plan to use to switch on and off speaker while not in use.
Cause I have to open and close the cover everytime I want to turn off and on.
My TV and android box always switch on the whole time.

Meaning that I want to rewire switch to 3 pin plug. Like switch put above cabinet when using. Another thing is using extension.
Extension socket good idea but have to crawl under the cabinet.

Like switch to 3 pin. Do I have to use the water heater switch?
Seems like light switch no earth connection.

Normal switch is 10A rated.. ur socket rated for 13A..and it only cut L.

It is better to use WH 20A switch, rated for 20A > 13A socket, and cuts both L and N.

WH switch just earth to the earthing screw.

Cable use proper cable like Mega Kabel 2.5mm², shopee/lazada got sell loose cuts per meter, not expensive.

Connectors you will need 2x Wago 221-412 at the very minimum. Can get frm shopee LINK or element14 (bit more expensive but confirm legit LINK.

Alternatively can also use the usual connector blocks but quite mafan lah, as some are poorly made. Wago is screwless.

The wire connector to connect which one?
Saw some water heater switch can connect 3 cables.

From the original socket (IN-WALL wiring) it is just few inches.. in order to connect the L and N UP to the WH switch line side, need to extend - use the Wago connector - and one length of the new mega kabel.
Then, from the WH switch load side, another length of new mega kabel come back DOWN to the original 13A socket.

You will basically need twice the distance for red and black mega kabel 2.5mm²
and a single distance for the green mega kabel 2.5mm²

Meaning, if the extension is like 130cm then buy 3m of red+black and 2m of the green. U can get loose cut 2.5mm (by meter) here in the correct colours: LINK

For the E, just run one length up from the original 13A socket E to the WH switch's E.

It should be possible to conceal in-wall if you have a rotary hammer can do the hacking chase, cables go in concealed PVC conduit then patch back afterwards with ready mix cement+a bit of putty.

Nope.. i mean add a 20A WH switch to control power feeding the existing socket. Then u can just use the 20A switch to on off the sockrt, which u can leave on permanently.

That depends on the equipment power rating. Up to 1kW can use 5A fuse. Up to 3kW use 13A fuse.

Yes, you are not buying them by 100m rolls, it is because technically the in-wall wiring is also 2.5mm² to that existing socket.

One does not compromise the chain by introducing a weak point. By regulation, all 13A socket need to use a minimum of 2.5mm² cables for the IN-WALL part. Otherwise you need to derate the MCB instead of 20A you need to downgrade the MCB to 10A. Which means spending another 8 bucks for a MCB. Might as well just keep the whole chain 2.5mm².
