QUOTE(zhou.xingxing @ Mar 25 2022, 10:31 AM) Hopefully jus a refurbish ..i haven rch ot yet The stadium is really old and feels more run down than bukit jalil in some areas. Since glazers are from US, they should know how a good stadium would look like. From the fan's forum that was held, this topic was also discussed. Cost was also given an estimate. Expanding south stand cost a bomb because of the railway tracks behind it. Building a new stadium is estimated to cost 1.4 to 1.5 billion pounds over 100k seats . Expansion about 400 to 500 million pounds to 88k seats

QUOTE(statikinetic @ Mar 25 2022, 11:22 AM) This is all primarily a result of neglect during the Glazer era. Old Trafford and Carrington. sure, i would blame it on them. I'm looking more at the issue of loading a billion dollar loan in the name of the club which was also brought up at the talk. Funding wasn't brought up, but everyone was guessing that it might be by selling properties and land around trafford area to developers for building commercial properties like hotels. United owns land and properties around that area. Stadium refurb has been planned since 2006 after glazers took over and the club was in high debt at that time. The club had to balance debts and investment on and off field. If we had a sugar daddy owner, it won't be an issue at that time but we don't. We had investment owners.
