meaning the cheq is 1500, if somehow this cheq was modified or banker mistakenly key in 15,000 u cannot counter claim the banker cheq issuer....max only 4999 liability

Don't know why, but I've seen this on CIMB's blue coloured Banker's Cheques. The red ones have no limit.

Probably low level teller not authorized to issue large amounts. Just my guess.

I don't know difference between banker check n bank draft. Usually do bank draft... Limited to the funds available in your account.
