Last few week I went Singapore and turn on roaming using my Maxis cannot get any 5g signal

Using s23 ultra

Roam either singtel or starhub also nothing

is due to Maxis not support 5g in Malaysia so cannot get 5g eh?

according to Fahmi, DNB now will focus to turn on the remaining approximately 2000 towers to achieve 80% population coverage by end of year.

The latest explanation regarding 5G Malaysia from Tuan Adil Hidayat (aka Pendakwah Teknologi)
- DNB and Ericsson will expand the 5G infrastructure up to 80% (according to the contract agreement with Ericsson), the remaining 20% will continue when Entity A takes over DNB.
- DNB will become a private company
- Entity B will start installing Malaysia's second 5G network, starting from 0-100% (Including areas that already have 5G DNB)

I no eye see just ask fucking corrupted Ericsson to declare 80% la. My maxshit no 5g and I am under contract until end of this year.

Did they ever specify that the 62% 5G population coverage is actually inclusive of 700MHz band?

Imagine if it's inclusive of 700MHz, then how many % are there for 3.5GHz band only?
They could've just deploy 700MHz at a wide scale, and then claim they have nationwide 62% "5G coverage".
Well yeah, that 62% are majority coming from 700MHz band

Who knows maybe in reality, if it's just the 3.5GHz alone, it's barely 20% or something, but they don't want to publicly announce the actual figures for 3.5GHz band alone cuz it's gonna make them look like a loser.

I borrowed my brother's mobile device to test out if there is any 5G reception (I don't have one) because the coverage maps clearly said that my area is out of coverage area - and the result is I could receive 5G (NSA) mode via my Unifi Mobile SIM which has 5G package enabled - I wasted some data to test the potential internet speed of 5G - this is the only 5G capable SIM that I have with me.

Despite being "slightly outside the edge" of what coverage maps said - I still can get some 500Mbps speed while connected to DNB 5G. 4G via Unifi network is around 70Mbps (full speed data). But maybe another mast in my area is clearly needed for better coverage in my area. Note that I could get 400Mbps on Digi 4G+ via Galaxy S10+ (2019 flagship) (CelcomDigi has not merged the network in my area yet).

The side effects of fake 5G NSA

Too many Maxis users in Klang Valley region. But Maxis generally is still the most stable. For Genting, both Maxis and Digi are very slow.

I lock into B28 for LTE only and VoLTE works fine with calls.
