because 5G speedtest becoming slow
*
It'll become even slower once fully launched with everyone moving away from 4G and the eventual shutdown of 2G.

The speed will never be able to compete or par with real fixed fibre internet which is now many countries are already upgrading to 10G and 25G as standard.
Pricing will also not be able to match because fibre modems are now matured and flooding the markets dirt cheap and so many choices.

Unlike 5G equipment investments now still monopolized by many western companies without competition. Tenders cause billions and return will carry forward to consumers. Equipment's are still very expensive a 5G modem costs above RM1k on average and very few choices in the market. Meanwhile bulk purchase prices of 2.5G GPON fibre modems already reach RM20 per unit being dumped in the open market.

5G networks are white elephants.

All these free unlimited quota for 5G will eventually end when it fully launches. They will not afford to continue it.
Even now also the telcos are only turning on the internet access intermittently for their 5G access nodes or you can only get free quota during weekends like that.

They will impose FUP quota limit on their unlimited plans with hidden clauses or secretly throttle heavy users or block access with SIMs used with dedicated modems.

The undisputed king of broadband for speed, stability and pricing will always be FIBRE internet.

Looks like U Mobile using some kind of "Bespoke 5G Coverage Network product" there  hmm.gif

Umobile has partnered with ZTE on 5G R&D even before DNB was launched.

The ones at Berjaya Times Square are probably their own equipment for testing..

I don't think so...

- eNB 7xxxxx = definitely DNB
- B28 LTE on same freq range as DNB one (EARFCN 9310).... if this is U Mobile's own network, why they didn't use their existing LTE B1/3/7/8 as anchor band? That way 5G devices lacking B28 (like chinese variant of Xiaomis) can connect to 5G
- U Mobile are not allowed (yet) to deploy own 5G
- Plus it's covering only their store

That's why I said this is bespoke product from DNB
*
The DNB code is because they need to merge and integrate their own eNode solution with DNB for commercial linkups.

BTS is their HQ. main store and building, why not if the ZTE test equipments/infra have already been setup pre-existingly before DNB contracted Ericsson within the premise?

hotlink rm40 is 4g
5g plan is rm45

i think i will go with yes power35 plan

YES 5G ping rates very high not very suitable for fast action gaming.

Dunno why maybe their lame core network and routers cannot cope with high amount of traffic or their backbone highly congested with inability to handle high volume of concurrent connections.

currently DNB only uses N78 , N28 not used and only used for L28 (LTE B28) as anchor band
It seems like possible able to use DNB 5G but you need to get the Australia variant as its supports B28 LTE and N78 NR

B28 is compulsory as without it you cannot CA with N78 due to DNB being a NSA-5G network.

N78 alone cannot be connected directly. It needs to do carrier aggregation with B28 to work.

No access to B28 means you can't get N78.

This will only change when 5G-SA is launched in future.
