wonder when will Malaysia have SA 5G instead of NSA. 🤔 so currently most 5G coverage is using 700MHz instead of 3.5GHz spectrum? so that DNB, can claim large coverage area? in that case, mmWave will only be for private network usage?

looking at our neighbour down south using 5G SA now. just make me sad.

Seems like now Maxis Digi and Celcom was reported able to ride on DNB network
Personally i tested Digi can run on DNB 700MHz LTE Band 28 on a 4G device (Pixel 3)

To be fair, I heard somewhere that Singtel/Starhub insists on doing dual NSA/SA even though IMDA (MCMC equivalent) ask them to do SA only. Singtel even doesn't let its prepaid/MVNO users access 5G SA atm.

And also 700MHz is LTE only atm, but showed as 5G on 5G-capable phones because of ULI stuff (I believe DNB uses config C). That's why need something like NetMonster app to verify if really connected to 5G.
