Hope to get some input regarding my external monitor display. Just wondering if its normal or i set up wrongly. Please bear with me cos im a total noob with these stuff.

I currently owns a Lenovo Legion laptop and using an external monitor.

Laptop spec :

Lenono Legion 5 15ARH05

Ryzen 5 4600H, 8+8 gb RAM, 512 gb SSD, 300nits 144hz 100% srgb with GTX 1650 4 gb

Monitor :

Philips 242M8

Im currently using the out of the box cable from the monitor to plus in, i suppose its a HDMI cable.

So my question is i been playing Dota 2 on high setting but i notice that the display on my external monitor Philips 242M8 isnt as crisp as when im using the laptop screen.

Is it normal or did i set up my monitor wrongly?

Any input would be greatly appreciated

Both your laptop and monitor resolution are 1920x1080p.

It will definitely look sharper on the laptop because the same number of pixels are spread out over a smaller area of about 16 inches, whereas on the monitor they are spread out over a larger area of about 24 inches.

What you are experiencing is perfectly normal.

24" in 1080p should still look very crisp.

Try check your display setting and make sure your 2nd monitor resolution is set at 1920x1080.

Also check your Dota game whether it is set as 1920x1080 or not as well.

Thanks for your input bro. Yes my external monitor does look crisp, it's just not as crisp or good as my laptop screen is what I meant. So I thought I must have wrongly set it up.

Both my monitor and dota reso is at 1920x1080.
