Any reason why highway mileage is massively lower than urban mileage for EVs?

Battery ev is heavy, for every weight they carry they need alot force to move it... when urban they consume slowly as the speed is slow...

The higher the speed the more inefficient the power conversion and more resistance needed to overcome. Plus battery car don't reduce weight when power is consume unlike ICE vehicles.

Saw Ora good cat 500km range model china review

Urban mileage - 477km without aircond. 22c ambient temp

Highway mileage - 288km @ constant 100km/h without aircond. Also 22c ambient temp

Thanks. So my estimation base on battery capacity of 250km on highway is pretty spot on in our hot and humid weather conditions.

This is the video for those interested. Its in Chinese only unfortunately but you can see the results at 16:20

Now we can wait for Thai review since their climate and environment match us more

Thank you for the explanation. That's exactly the opposite of FC profile of ICE vehicles.

Yes. The only way forward for EV to have good highway mileage is lighter batteries and more efficient motors

Yes... its because ICE car need to maintain their engine to run but ev only consume when move... but motor is inefficient in higher speed as they draw higher wattage from the battery also causing battery to heat up and draw more power.

Check in to see if anyone got any latest update?
400 vs 500 Ultra the difference still only the color and battery?
Curious any change since become 03?
