i got myself 1 for RM60+. It is quite nice as its compitable with USB and got an audio plug in. The RM80 version is compitable with card reader which i think its does worth for me to pay another Rm20. My version is without the remote but with frequency indicator with red wording instead of red light. The remote version have their frequency choice printed on the thing and the light ll lid on frequency u have selected. Sound quality so so only as u need to find a frequency with less interference. When i use that on a wira stock HU, the speaker will emit some noise after 30 mins of use. I tried on other car but no problem with tat.

moreover for the hu that only can play cd audio format, its getting cheaper than those mp3 compatible anyway

so, its better choice than fm modulator happy.gif

I was thinking of the same thing as the TS.

So, the conclusion is.. not to buy an FM modulator and get a HU with a USB slot. Wat HU has a USB slot? I noticed that the pioneer needs an extra accesory to connect to the thumb drive.

refer to this thread for HU with USB

http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/528640

only the Kenwood has HDD capability

price from RM500-RM550 at Brothers

elsewhere up to RM600

recommendation : don't install at Brother, just buy the HU there and install at your dealer

Agree as well. Current mp3 modulators sound quality loses even to the normal radio station quality you get.

It's ok if you want to listen to audiobooks in your car but forget about getting cd quality music out of it.
