The current gov want to divert the attention from their incompetent of handling the Ukranie-Russia war.
This is knee jerk reaction of wanting to cut off their bad publicity about UK-Roman relationship and the Chelsea are the scapegoat.

I think i fully understand why Chelsea requested close door game for FA cup against Middlesbrough.
With no money coming in from ticket sales & others but need to bare the high security and other expenses from own pocket which already lockout from stupid UK gov. Cashflow are tight for Chelsea now even UK gov allowed matchday expenses increase to 900k. They need t preserve any cash left for critical club operation expenses with no income cash coming in for months at least.

Put some pressure on PL and Football Association to do their work fighting UK gov against us now.
