This is siu chow la, dai chow makes all the seafood/banquet restaurant dishes. Siu chow normally does noodles and simple dishes.

yeap agreee...petaling street / pudu / imbi / cheras etc also got good hokkien mee place

Yuetkong hor my preference is not to have too much liew. Especially taugeh. Must omit this. Will spoil the texture of this dish.

Hokkien Mee need some skill to cook, otherwise you end up with a overly soupy or dry mess. Many restaurants specifically don't offer this dish for this reason, and it's not strange to find restaurants that ONLY specialize in this dish.

Chee Yao char have to pay is understandable. If not every table request free unlimited top-up then hailatss

And also this not daichao, daichao more Liao 叫菜吃饭 that kind

I wonder why put in so many types of sauces, it's bad for body to eat too much salt

i used to patronize one hokkien mee that use charcoal fire until one day i stand beside and look at how its done, immediately after that I limit myself to eat only once a month.

its not about cleanliness but the amount of msg he's pouring in. no wonder taste so good and addictive

saw there's one stall in kuchai lama corner kopitiam that're selling this, but don't think taste is good when handled by foreign workers.

My family used to eat out "Dai Chao" with Patin fish, fried vegetables, tau foo with mincemeat, and perhaps lotus root soup. With rice of course.
