A little context: I have an accounting degree and I've completed all my ACCA exams in September. Recently, I've completed an interview for the position of audit associate in PwC. I'm also scheduled to have an interview with EY soon. If all things go well, I will have to choose between PwC and EY.
According to one of my friends, EY pays a higher base salary than PwC. Is this true? I understand that the audit life is going to be filled with long work hours, but from what I've read online, PwC seems to have a better work culture. It also seems to me that PwC values English language competency more than the other big 4 firms (the PwC English assessment was rather challenging).
Does anyone have any input on 1) the salary and 2) the work culture in these two companies? Thank you.
