A friendly advise for future online purchases, you could double check the pricing of your WD with official online stores. If the price difference is too low/too good to be true, its probably fake.

There are a few obvious signs that the store you've bought from are fake,

1. Low price for 2TB, compared to official WD stores.
2. Random generated store name.
3. Young store age, store was created 2 months ago.
4. Numerous 1 Star review stating similar symptoms of fake WD HDD.

If you haven't released the payment to the seller (by clicking the ORDER RECEIVED button), you may dispute together with Shopee to retrieve your money back for receiving a fake product.
