So far I have narrowed it down to these few

LG Ultragear 27GP850-B
TUF Asus VG27QL1A
MSI M27Q
Acer Predator XB273UGS
Benq EX2780Q
MSI MAG274QRF-QD

I was thinking of LG as my first choice as the monitors I bought lasted for 4+ years. Currently coming from 23" IPS 60hz 1080p 4-5ms-ish monitors.

LG price range is pretty close to other models like the MSI MAG274QRF-QD, so will be including that.

Any other models I am missing out that has similar specs ?

Aesthetically wise, I dont mind how it looks externally. Color accuracy is important. Gotta have very little to none backlight bleeding problems too. No curved screens.
minimal bezels.

Will be working and gaming with it.

Edit : I play more FPS nowadays. Hence the 144hz minimum.
PC is somewhat dated so it wont be likely push beyond 120+fps in 1440p settings

Probably might get another one later to hook them up together.

I am running on an nvidia card so G-Sync/compatibility is necessary right ?

Do I need to provide more info ?

Let me add another monitor for your consideration. This will even save you money as it is below RM1.5k.

Lenovo G27q-20
27-inch
2560x1440 QHD resolution
In-Plane Switching (IPS) panel
Brightness 400 cd/m2
165Hz refresh rate
1ms MPRT2 response time
1x HDMI 2.0
1x DP 1.2
G-Sync compatible
Viewing angle 178/178 degrees
Height adjustable - Lift Range (130 mm)

I am using one now and very pleased with the monitor. I was coming from LG & Samsung 24" 1080p IPS 60Hz monitor - no contest at all. When I saw it the first time, I was surprised with the 27" IPS + QHD + 165Hz specs in this price range, I just had to buy it. Having height adjustment was just icing on the cake. I got mine in August, hopefully still available for sale now.

Illigear APEX 27, monitor released Sep 2021, can't find any monitor that can beat this spec with 1.1k

Only catch is it is not VESA certified HDR, I wonder how big diff compared with VESA certified HDR, hope monitor experts here can teach/guide

I think Acer Predator XB273UGS is the best match for you based on your requirements. It has great colour depth so it's certainly a good gaming monitor.

Thanks for the feedback so far guys.

Gonna scratch M27Q off since I just found out the subpixel layout is not RGB but BGR. @_@

Unless there's a workaround of sorts. No not turning the monitor upside down.

Have you gotten it yet? Any review?

Considered getting this but from the reviews I read, the overshoot is very bad on this monitor and you have to manually change the overdrive setting to avoid visual artifacts when viewing 60fps content. It's going to be annoying if I have to change the overdrive setting every single time I switch between high fps and low fps content.

This monitor is only G-sync compatible and doesn't have the actual G-sync module which totally prevents overshoot. Actual G-sync monitors are a lot more expensive.

Still looking around for a 27 inch, flat, 1440p, 144+hz, with no overshoot monitor at a reasonable price. Prism+ and Illegear are cheaper but I don't trust their China OEMs panels.
Every month I just get frustrated and give up shopping, keep using my old monitor....

Hey there, I am in the same situation as you now.

Able to share how do you narrow down from these 4 selections and go with VG27QL1A ? How is it so far?
These 4 quite similar in pricing +/-RM150. LG is 2021 model the rest should be 2020 model.
MSI27Q is BGR so for me i might consider going MSI 32Q instead as both are quite similar but 32Q using RBG and around 2k range.

LG Ultragear 27GP850-B
TUF Asus VG27QL1A
MSI M27Q
Acer Predator XB273UGS
