Ah Yong Yong Tau Fu @ Kuala Selangor. This spot is hidden in secondary road between the DIY & Family Mart @ Caltex. Kinda famous among the locals. Visisted twice , the crowds were consistent on weekday. They operate from noon till night time .

The average per head range from RM30-50 depending on the menu & drink you order. All the foods were good except the pasta. The pasta maybe the taste just suit my taste bud.

2nd attempt to try Girl & Mummy Curry Noodle as recommended by the forumers . 1st attempt failed as the queue was just too heavy last month.

Tried the option of curry noodle with roasted pork, cockles & steam chicken. My rating = 6/10 only. The taste not as flavourful as Extravaganza Curry Noodle @ Ara Damansara & Sekinchan Market Curry Noodle. The only thing appeared obvious on the curry noodle was the generous toppings but the taste of the curry noodle & toppings were just slightly above average.

This stuff caught me by surprise. The braised 🐮 tendon. This was amazing, so tender , moist & flavorful. This one rated 10/10.

user posted image
This tendon was the main attraction to me not the curry mee. Don’t understand why ppl promote average curry mee but left out the good stuff.

Tried some Dim Sum at Restoran Kai Wo Bao @ Manjalara. The dim sum choices here really not bad - good choices & tasted good.

This Kwai Wo Bao - fusion of Loh Mai Kai + Bao Skin wrapping like bird nest + salted egg & fragrant mushroom. Their restaurant name came from.

Visited Only U @ Glenmarie for the Prawn Mee. Actually looked more like a shrimp mee than prawn mee.

Don’t get fooled by the simple appearance. To be honest , the appearance when the meal was served look average only (5/10) but the moment you put the noodle into your mouth with the broth - easily 9/10 on the taste & flavour. The taste was so rich. I’ll said this will be another prawn noodle in the must try list in Klang Valley.

A visit to Sentul UTC didn’t turn up well, hence divert to Chow Kit Market for some food. Tried this Legendary Nasi Lemak inside the market. Ordered 2 variety of the toppings.

Quite a memorable visit. Overhead the retired old men & women talked about Hainanese Porridge. Will try the next visit.

Updated 6/11/22. Visited Chow Kit”s market again. Tried the Hainanese porridge. 🥲 I actually find it average only, nothing unique in fact the same flavour can be found at other places. Maybe Ah Cheng visited them before….to me , only aroud 6/10.

The laksa at opposite stall tasted much more satisfying in my opinion. 7.5/10.

Visited Shashark Canteen @ Taman Meranti Jaya, Sepang

The location is actually at the border between Puchong & Sepang.

The Laksa Sarawak was quite memorable & the peach gum dessert got the home cook feeling.

Went there for the roasted duck, pork & char siew. The char siew stand out the most among the 3. The chai bui was suprisingly good with clear soup appearance.

Visited Mr Fish for the Fish Head Noodles. Ordered their menu no.777. The fish head noodle served with 2 slices of fresh grouper fillet, 3 pieces of sea prawns, 2 pieces of baby abalones and few slices of fish maws.

I gave them 10/10. Really worth to try.

The nasi kandar gravy was very tasty & nice, the fried chicken option was equally good. Overall for the food taste was 9/10.

The price was at RM 14/ plate for the fried chicken nasi kandar. It think it was fairly price. Rated 9/10.

The ambient was in the old shop lot without air conditioning, should be rated around 5/10 for the ambient.
