Yes, we're back to square one again with Google/HTC team trying to figure things out on the drawing board yet again + procuring the following Samsung hardware items that lead to major cost cutting:
1) 1st generation Tensor chip: custom fabricated chip based on the existing Exynos 2100/2200 chipset that is known to overheat/throttling coupled with lack of adequate hardware cooling (i.e copper cooling chambers)
2) 1st generation in-display finger print sensor: it's a hit or miss. Software can only address this issue so much. Ultimately, it's down to limitations of the hardware itself
3) Samsung's ISOCELL GN1 sensor: no drastic improvements in image processing quality (since majority of the heavy lifting is largely through software) with the exception of certain user scenarios i.e lowlight since the sensor is about 50% larger versus the IMX363
I don't mean to discourage current and potential Pixel 6 buyers as this is just my personal assessment on how the above nit picks impact your daily user experience. If your Pixel 6 unit is free of any issues, keep it by all means!
Regarding the VoLTE steps/guide, can you kindly PM me the details so i can create a sticky on the 1st page for everyone's reference? If not, i can search on the XDA Developer forums for guidance.
Cheers, bro.
