hi everyone, i've just done a fresh install of windows 10 on a new hardware but when i go to the activation page it says "windows 10 is activated with digital license" so does this mean it's already activated? but i didn't even enter any product key blink.gif . btw the iso is made with windows media creation tools on my other pc so this is not hacked/pirated copy. anyone here experienced this kind of situation? bangwall.gif

They allow certain change in hardware without triggering activation.

You can check in account.microsoft.com

i'm gonna try and check with microsoft, this is really weird and i feel like they're spying on me lol.gif . i mean certain changes in hardware is one thing, this a whole new system. the only thing that i use back is the ssd and it's totally formatted before fresh install.

It wont be a problem. I got several PC that i build the windows was activate like this.

already check with microsoft that it is a valid activation. maybe the board manufacture got jv with microsoft for it. so i just let it go and ok with it.

yeah, hopefully it was embedded within the mobo UEFI. i'm gonna try to extract the key and see if it's in the motherboard just to be safe. i don't fancy microsoft spying on me hehehe tongue.gif btw microsoft account listed the device as registered and linked in my account.

ok,this is getting more weird...there is no embedded key in the mobo and turns out the key that was activated is from enterprise version..how did this happen?is it because i use the media creation tools from my office pc?
