So I called Wilayah Perhilitan. They asked me to WhatsApp my info. After that got nothing. This musang/civet cat is massive. I think there's two of em. Shitting, peeing all over my porch, garden, balcony...destroying my outdoor wood furniture by training their paws of it.

This piece of shit is driving me nuts.

Lace some food with rat poison?

Help!

Ask for a trap from Jabatan Perhilitan. They'll lend you one. Use jackfruit (nangka) for bait. Leave it at night. Check the next morning. If caught, call Jabatan Perhilitan to take civet away. They will leave the trap to you if needed.

I have 1 that visits my ceiling and over the roof for over a year now.
About a year ago, came here looking for suggestions and followed advise to call perhilitan.
Basically perhilitan will give you the run around and say they are busy and so common so many etc.
Bought myself a large cage trap, around 130rm, its pretty heavy and placed it in the ceiling.
Its been there for around 6 mounts, did not bait it up as I am afraid of attracting flies/maggots or having to climb up and down every other day.
I had to fit it through a ceiling hole around 2 x 1.5 fit, not sure how i would do that if that civet is in it.
Lately, the civet cat been coming back to shelter from the rain again.

Keep some dogs just to scare them away if that is ok with you. Try avoid poison its cruel. We stay quite near to untouched forest, sometime wildlife wander into the compound and the dogs will chase them away.

Just trap, and upon catching them just drown them... or in older days my grandfather would dismember that civet alive before cooking and eating it in public, distress cries and visuals to other civets of how being slaughtered looks and sounds like - works like a charm on animals worldwide.

Very nuisance of they visit every night

Whole night sleepless if fruits season
Civets rustling the whole trees looking for the most tastiest, sweetest ones.

Poop dont smell but their distinctive pandan smelling urine can get abit nauseating. Also the noise they make when their tails scrape against the plaster ceiling can wake you up at night thinking its an intruder. I had one in my ceiling for two days before he decide to relocate. Difficult to catch these fellas. Best bet is hope they ciao when there is lack of a food supply.

TS maybe reconsider doing away with the mango tree outside your house.
