Depends where you stay, fancy gym these days above 200 ringgit but they got classes n stuff which will save you some money vs hiring personal trainer because not cheap.

If want to join group classes, can join Fitness First, Celebrity or CHI fitness.

If only want to get personal trainer, can just go to neighborhood small gyms, pay as you go, much cheaper.

If want to go to ATAS gym, can go to those boutique gyms, like Babel TTDI.

Are you disciplined and motivated?
Don’t commit to a gym with contract… otherwise you start off strong and then it just tapers off

What you can do is, everyday when you wake up do some push up. If you can’t complete, you can do the half push up.

The test is to see if you are consistent or not by doing it everyday. If you can’t even spend 10 mins everyday, forget about the gym. End up paying but not going.

Idk if combat sports gyms(bjj, boxing, kickboxing, mma) are open. They are way better if you really don't have any fitness goals in mind.

you should consider these before committing.
if you plan to only do cardio/weightlifting then go to those shoplot gym or warehouse gym (if you dont mind not having AC). much cheaper
if you plan to attend classes then join FF/CF those big chains only then it will be worth it.

for me i go CF mainly for weightlifting and from time to time i attend classes to sweat it out and burn more calories and yoga classes to allow myself to be more flexible instead of paying for different membership fees (gym and yoga classes else where for example)
