The International School of Kuala Lumpur (ISKL) has launched an internal probe into allegations that two of its students were involved in selling nude photos of underage girls.
“ISKL is treating this matter very seriously and is conducting an internal investigation with all relevant parties to establish the facts,” the school said in response to queries by FMT today.
“With respect to the privacy of all parties involved, ISKL will not comment further on this matter,” it added.
In a series of Twitter posts yesterday, a social media user with the handle @lordeispoc alleged that the two boys had made “thousands” by selling the nude photos on group chat platform Discord.
The user also said that one of the boys had admitted to spreading the pictures of the minors, posting a one-minute 54-second video of the apparent “confession”.
According to @lordeispoc, one of the boys tried to justify spreading the nude pictures by claiming that his friend was “lonely and had no friends”.
Some girls who claimed to be victims of the pair have also begun detailing their experiences online, with a number of screenshots purportedly of those responsible being shared.
