Looks nice.. i think haven't got imported. Oribags selling iphone 12 cases for UAG DOT.
hmm... this year, not much talk on nomad cases? now seeing Ringke, Spigen and UAG.
*
attw waiting for Nomad’s Black Friday promotion, meanwhile for me I will skip Nomad for the first time in 4 years - their cases are too heavy, additional bulk to the already heavy Pro Max.

I bought two Nomad cases last year bro, one for my iPhone 12 and one for my wife’s iPhone 12 Pro Max so I think I’ll skip Nomad for now since I’ve already tried it smile.gif Plus I’m kinda a “rough” user so the delicate nature of a leather case doesn’t go well with me, hahaha… the plan was to try either Rhinoshield or Mous this year but since I’ve gotten the Gear4 I can wait and see if there’s good promos later on - no hurry smile.gif

How many cases have you gotten already?
*
3 cases so far,

1) UAG Plylo MagSafe - otw
2) Apple Leather Case - tengah pakai
3) Mous Limitless 4.0 Aramid Fibre - otw sudah sampai Malaysia

Yeah same here, kinda regretted getting the Apple Leather case because it seems so delicate and prone to dirt compared to Nomad, need to ‘baby’ it which is annoying.

UAG Pylo in the house.

Case is very beefy, has a nice grip to it and the edges are protruded - might be a little to bulky for me.

The lip covers the edge tight, so your SP/TG might be impacted especially on the edges.

Now waiting for my Mous Limitless 4.0.

Mous Limitless 4.0 in the house.

Feels heavier than my UAG Pylo case - but the build feels solid and firm. The Aramid Fibre plate at the back is smooth - like a rubberized texture.

Interesting enough that the top and bottom front face of the case is raised higher than the middle part - probably for impact protection, but a little too ‘raised’ for my liking.

wow looks nice, i should get this, rubberized texture means not can feel the aramid fiber right? i suppose they cured the aramid fiber become a plate. but the rubber will peel one ka? i worry like their leather lol the rubber will peel  sweat.gif  sweat.gif but if peel, can complain they will send u new lol.

ya that is their design the top and front is raised. i do like it tho, cos the side swiping is more seamless.
*
Yeah, its definitely a plate - doesn’t seem easy to scratch either.

The side bumpers for sure won’t peel, its hard as a rock tongue.gif But like you said, lifetime warranty, no risk there

Long story short -

Only proprietary MagSafe (so far only Apple & Belkin) will provide 15w of wireless charging to iPhone 12 and above.

Any other wireless chargers regardless of 50w, 100w etc will only deliver 7.5w, no more.

Remember Apple is a closed ecosystem, it only benefits their proprietary brand of products. If you don’t pay the Apple tax, you’re not getting the bells & whistles.

actually ugreen advertised theirs can do 15w magsafe charging. mcdodo also. but aukey they honest say theirs cant. No white mouse here to try lol. i am tempted to try mcdodo one since only rm50.. see how first lol.
*
Can do as long as they have the proprietary MagSafe license - so far I only know Belkin has it from a 3rd Party brand.

I’m skeptical buying accessories like adapters and cables from local resellers..and end up always buying from AASP for the peace of mind....these resellers Mark their products as 100% authentic and genuine but they are actually not....funny enough one of the shopee reseller put 100% authentic on their product page but when texted him, he say it’s 99%, when asked where’s the 1% and he went mia...dry.gif

The 1% sudah telan confused.gif

you can know with the animation
[attachmentid=11007711]
this will show if u are using magsafe 15w

[attachmentid=11007712]
this will show if u are using qii wireless 7.5w
same for me! either i buy the trusted brand and check with apple website MFI certified or not...
*
Yeah so safest to buy 1st party or Belkin only.

Less headache, less worry.

I’m using Mous 3.0 limitless Aramid Fibre as well. Yes, the both side middle part is lower and the side seamless feel is great when holding, but unfortunately is slightly on the heavier side.

The middle part is lower for a reason, even though the case has few cons which I literally hated it. AFAIK, you really can’t find another case is getting such a design.
*
I think I’m starting to grow fond of the case now, but yeah the middle part is lower seems to be logical - better scrolling experience.

Their design is unique, gotta give them that.

How’s your case holding up for you?

Nice, bro! I'll probably try one of these folds or flips eventually but not at the moment smile.gif
Honestly if I'd have it all to do again, I'd probably pick Graphite over Sierra Blue. The blue shade is a little too subtle and lack a certain oomph for me, hahaha... Anyways, slap on a case and no one knows what color you picked unless you chose a transparent case or they look intently at your camera bump...

And yes, Samsung has been hitting my email with promos for the Flip and Fold too - every. single. day.
Hehe, he picked the newest two phones in his collection!

Anyways, which is your favourite case now, bro?
*
Yeah he has more - including the Pro and Pro Max. I know him personally tongue.gif

For casing, right now gotta be the Mous Limitles 4.0 - the fibre plate at the back is so nice to touch, sounds wrong but yeah its growing on me. Now my UAG case is just sitting in the drawer sweat.gif

nowadays the earpods trending is coming bak lol. starting with celebrities on tiktok. My usb dac is coming, i gonna go wired thanks to apple loseless. iPhone bluetooth AAC just plain sucks man.

apple is lazy to implement and ignorant to open to other codec.
*
Which DAC are you going for?

Wired is awesome, but only for stationary placement, if you’re on the move, AiPods are the way to go.

QUOTE(arslow @ Oct 13 2021, 11:10 AM)
On top of that they're still on Bluetooth 5.0 and not 5.2. It's so crazy that Apple has something called High Res lossless in Apple Music but none of their devices can seamlessly play those natively without using an external DAC /amplifier combo.

Maybe if a new airpods Pro comes out this year they will also announce a new wireless codec which works with it for High Res Lossless laugh.gif
*
Actually Hi-Res lossless is just 96/24bit and above up to max 192/24 bit -> its just a way of Apple categorize it, when there is no significant difference between 48/24, 96/24 or 192/24 -> honestly my ears can’t tell that much of a difference because the only difference between these bitrates are the frequency?

Unless you have super-technical hearing, then you can tell the difference. I can’t remember what is Sony’s Hi-Res capabilities but I know they have the potential to achieve a high bit-rate through LDAC -> AAC needs to step up their game.

But remember, wireless headphones have built-in amp -> regardless if it’s 48,96,192 etc, it will still be converted again and you won’t actually hear the natural sound of the song, you need a passive headphone to achieve that.

RRP is RM169, seller offered a 5% discount on 10/10 and I got another RM18 discount with my Maybank AMEX card - plus another 5% cashback on weekend spend so total damage is about RM135
Hahaha, yeah, it’s a thick RM10 TG from Shopee… need to get a thinner one soon laugh.gif

I have checked the serial number at Apple site it show valid and original. Now just wait for the phone to reach me.  biggrin.gif
*
Looks fishy, especially the product image with that fake ugly font on the product.

Fishy store name, fishy product page, fishy store front. I'd cancel my order if I were you. Serial Number can be faked / duplicated - this is not a good method to track anymore.

The only true method is by having a local Apple Malaysia insert with SIRIM logo inside the box itself.

May I know anyone here are using the belkin boost charge pro? Thinking to buy it tonight from Shopee 😆

Wonder how was charging performance compare to the original MagSafe charger and the charging speed for Apple Watch series 7. As I realise the new Apple Watch has different charging base 😆

The Shopee store: https://shopee.com.my/product/19707479/8444...42-1635052250.9

I have this, it's a perfect all-in-one.

MagSafe 15w no problem, Apple Watch is the standard charging speed, not the fast charging as the fast-charging is only applicable for the new USB-C charging puck for Series 7. It's totally fine if you're gonna charge it overnight.

The only complain is the charging spot for AirPods - its always hard to nail the right spot for the AirPods Pro and often does not charge well, need to spend some time fiddling with the placement all the time sweat.gif

Thanks for the review bro.

May I know with this charger weight, do u still 2 hands to remove the phone from the MagSafe charger?
*
Charger itself is quite sturdy, very stable - I usually remove my phone from the charger with one hand, and usually half-conscious because I always remove it from the charger by midnight tongue.gif

Belkin is on the high-end when it comes to accessories, but once you've used it, you'll understand why it is priced like that. The attention to details, the build quality is second to none. Oh the texture of the charger base is rubberized, so just a heads up on the potential dust magnet.
