I came from 11” ipad pro. For casual media consumption, i don’t think this screen too small, just perfect for me. I also like to hold it while sitting on sofa, 11” ipad just too big to hold long time. Ipad mini perfect for me.

Go for ipad pro if you want to use it for productivity. But if not, i would say don’t waste money on it. My feeling on ipad pro was it have too much for my needs on mobile. But of course if you just don’t mind paying extra bucks, go for it.. but even for myself i already got the 11”, i downgrade to ipad mini now only i tend to use the ipad more. So to me its more worth for the money i paid.. paying 4-5k for a paperweight (not using much) clearly not a wise money management right 😄

i'm using goojodog for few months now. for simple note taking usage, its just good. battery lasts very long for my usage, i think i charged like 3 times so far, and that was not because it ran out of battery. just minor issue was that sometime the pencil turn itself off while using, it happen like once a while, especially when i just started to use it, like i strarted write for about a minute, then it turn off, then i turned it back on, and it is fine after that, never turn off again until i'm done. but this was just intermittent, happen sometime

I would demand them to entertain the claim. Ask them to take another ipad unit, and show them the differences. Ask them to justify why is it different it it was not faulty..

I think the bezel is practical for holding the ipad

I think, only the cellular version got built in gps. So if you need real time trekki g of your location, get the cellular version

I think the ssd uses power from USB to run, hence suck juice from the ipad

I just use as is right out of the box.. didn’t think of any “special” setting needed to be done

Just drop by to say i still love my the 6th gen ipad mini.. i rarely used it but whenever i need it, its always there for quick browsing, youtube, netflix and emails 😄 i think this gonna stay with me until it obsolete

I won’t mind the m1 ipad mini, because my usage with it just for light stuffs, the current proc is more than sufficient.

If you don’t game and don’t use it for media works (video and pictures) actually nothing much to be stored in the ipad mini. But i intended to buy the 256gb last time, but it was not available. With the 64gb now i used less than 50gb. Around 30+gb are actually apps, app size are quite big nowadays. But i realize most of the apps i actually didn’t use, just copy what my iphone has. I could remove them and have less than half storage usage

Still using the goojodog pen.. no problem for note taking casually. Glad I didn’t buy the real apple pencil, as its just for simple usage in my case, the cheap pencil is more suitable

glad to be in the iPad mini camp too. this device will last long. i still got an ipad mini 2 belongs to my kid, which still alive until today, only cracked screen, but still kicking. the design also doesn't look too outdated even tho it is very old.

with this mini 6, i think it will conveniently be in my backpack for many more years to come.. although it turn out I didn't really need it lately, and rarely using it, but it is always there for convenience. the simple minimalist design also will make this not become outdated easily

just a head up

I love the goojodoq pencil, now they have a newer version which can charge wirelessly from the ipad. I just got mine. this is even better now, the previous one was good but just sometime after long time not charging, when want to use suddenly no battery, sometime a bit frustrating. this newer version is the real deal. happy with it. Bought black color instead of white this time

Yes, no reason to buy apple pencil for me. I’m not an artist, I don’t need pressure sensor

Now i have 2 goojodoq pencil, version 12 and 13 😂 but total price still less than half of the original apple pencil

Doesn’t come with charging case. But it charges when attached to the ipad, for me i don’t need charging case

Yes it charges when you stick to the side of ipad. It has shape like the apple pencil, function like apple pencil, minus double tap and pressure sensitivity.

Look for goojodoq official shop in shopee. And look for version 13 / GD13

iPad Mini is the perfect iPad

I almost want to sell my ipad mini recently, honestly. With the new M2 ipad pro launched, centre stage, extended display, freeform etc. i got excited into the hype of iPad pro becoming the real laptop-like device. I really wanted to get the M2 ipad pro, i bet that ipad can last me for many years so it could be a good investment.

But luckily, I thought, wait, hold on, take some time to decide. So my brother got himself an ipad pro, and i asked him to trade with my ipad mini for a while just to try. He also have some interest with ipad mini hence agreed. So there i was, trying the ipad pro for productivities.. BUT…

The ipad pro is in a strange realm of device, not quite a macbook, but pretending to be. At the end, i said to myself, ok, you did this before, and again now, redundantly proven that it won’t actually replace a laptop for me. Yeah ipad pro is cool, but for just.. ermm.. show off perhaps? I mean, for actual works, when i tried using the ipad for works, i FEEL my macbooks are LAUGHING at me, like, really.. i mean, why would i deal with some limitations that the ipad offer (not much but there are some limitations) while at the other side of the table, there are the full flange computer sitting and waiting. the 16” was specced with M1 Max, 32gb RAM, 2tb storage, it can offer me anything i want, except it is too heavy to bring around. So i still got myself the 13” macbook pro because no way i would lug the 16” with me everyday to work. Advise on macbook at the other hands, get yourself a smaller macbook and it will be more useful, unless you really need the power. Smaller macbook is a better investment, i use it everyday.

Back to ipad pro. So how about if i use it as a tablet? Funny, it feels too big for handheld usage too. Maybe because I already get used to the mini. But no, i dislike the ipad pro for handheld operation. It’s impossible to type on, its tiring to hold, and the bigger and bright screen feels like its on your face. I would still go to my ipad mini for a tablet usage. So, ipad pro, not a laptop, and inconvenient tablet. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The only situation why someone would really appreciate an iPad pro for productivity is when you haven't got yourself a good laptop. I imagine, like students or someone who just started working and just needed to do email and some quick documents while away from the office desktop.. but for people like me, its not relevant anymore. born too early but should i have ipad pro during my time, i think i will be able to save money and just rely on it for productivities.

But man, I still love the look and feel of the ipad mini even in 2023. And i found a perfect casing for it recently, a magnetic cover that can be detached into 3 parts, the back cover, front cover and pen clasps. For handheld operation, i remove the front cover and pen clasp, while the back cover still attached and protect the ipad from dust or sand if i put it down. For casual travel, i would go without the pen clasp, so the ipad is clean and compact looking. And if i want to, i can have the pen attached securely on the side with clasp, without risk of falling or losing it. This is how you should make a case for ipad, Apple!

I wish for Apple to upgrade the mini to at least M1 proc and higher refresh rate screen. And I hope the battery life will be longer too. Its a tablet who not trying to be anything its not, a laptop. Thats all.

afaik any apple retailer would accept. they just check apple coverage, not asking for your purchase receipt.
