Hii. May I know if anyone here is working in fmcg industry in UK? I recently graduated with a degree in Food Science and my dream is to work as a professional in UK or any other European countries. I'm not sure if I should pursue a Master's degree or just gain professional experience in this sector to increase my chances... Anyone has any advice? ☺️ Thank you!

Hi, it's an old thread but if you put enough planning and investment in it, dreams can come true. I have experience working in both UK and other EU country (not in FMCG though), but here is my advice:

If you graduate from a UK/EU university, there are visas that allow you to job hunt after graduation. This will make things a lot easier.

Otherwise, you will be at a disadvantage because there are a lot of other graduates in UK/EU vying for jobs as well. With little or no professional experience, employers are more inclined to pick someone that is already based in the country unless you have some really unique skills. EU countries is more difficult unless you can speak their language.

So either a master's degree or professional experience may help, but master's degree is probably better although more expensive and there's still a chance that you may not get a job after graduation.
