Hi,

I recently got hold of an iPhone 6S specifically to stream live via the GoPro Hero 9 and the Quik app. The app allows you to connect to the phone's own hotspot, but this is really temperamental.

Most of the time I can't even see the hotspot in the drop-down list in the Quik app, even though my Windows PC can see it.

Thinking this might be a carrier restriction on Celcom, I've bought the weekly unlimited package and a daily hotspot add-on. This has made no difference.

If the hotspot is visible and I am able to stream, it streams for a minute and then disconnects.

I've reset my network settings, changed the name of my phone, changed the password, rebooted... basically all the usual troubleshooting procedures. I'm running iOS 14.7.1

None of these issues appear with Android on a Celcom connection, even without the hotspot add-on. My Android runs the daily 2GB for 3rm package and can run a hotspot, which the iPhone and my pc can connect to.

Is this a limitation set by Celcom on iPhones? How do I set up the iPhone to maintain a hotspot for more than a minute?

Thanks.

Does it only disconnect when you close the hotspot screen? did it happen when the hotspot screen is open?
