I'm not considering to do it right now, but I do wonder is it worth it to do LASIK when you're still young.

My power is very high (over 600) so idk will it still work or not.

I suffered some bad side effects from early era LASIK, such as astig and some longterm tears making future corrections unfeasible.

Just make sure you get a good specialist and know the risks.

If your degree is too high in that it classifies you as a legally blind persom then lasik is one way to go. I have 1 client who had to go through one.

Depends on how old you are! If you are nearing 40s, then forget it because you're gonna need glasses soon anyway.

If you are in your 20s, go for it. Its probably the best thing ever.

I do suffer from dry eyes after lasik (started roughly 10 years after lasik) and have to lubricate once a day. If your speciaiist thinks that you may suffer for dry eyes after lasik, then you need to consider whether you can put up with using eye lubrication.

did it when i was 24( 4 years ago) and it was the best thing i've ever done. i did it in Singapore Novena specialist centre as my personal opinion is that they do a more thorough check before approving your treatment. they will firstly check thickness of your cornea, and if its viable they will tell you do make another appointment few days later for the treatment. if thickenss is not thick enough, they will let u know the cons and the potential side effect. in some cases they will outright say no.

cost wise i did it as 12k MYR. (it was 2k SGD per eye). comes with 1 year free complimentary check up,

personally I won't do it unless its really affecting ur day to day life. wear glasses is no big deal, compared to if u hv a medical condition that requires eye surgery. Natural is always the best smile.gif

Lasik will reduce tear secretion to your eyes as the procedure cuts some of the tear ducts. You will suffer from drier eyes after Lasik. If you already have mild dry eyes, you cannot do Lasik or you will suffer greatly. This must be checked beforehand and I suggest you get an independent eye clinic to check for UNBIASED advice.

Personally, I'll just stick with eyeglasses or contacts. If anything isn't right and this may happen years down the road, Lasik is irreversible.

My prescription is a bit worse than yours and a few years ago, I did a procedure similar to LASIK called TransPRK. It's life changing. My night vision is somewhat worse due to halos, but I can manage it with eyedrops. No regrets.

Did Relax Smile, just dry eyes.
Other than that everytime okay.
A little discomfort few hours after lasik, can still do cores.
No regret, only regret is didn't do earlier.
Definitely feel worth it.

yes eventually goes away..

that's why you will rely on eye drops for few months

the eye drops is quite expensive... .cannot buy eye mo one. Need to buy natural eye drops...

i think is double price of eye mo.

eye mo is rm10
natural eye drop is rm20

Reading about the permanent side effect possibilities, why do you guys want to do lasik surgery? It sounds like not worth it at all
