Would like to have your advice if i were to downgrade my current rm149 unifi package 100mpbs, either downgrade to unifi RM89 for 30mbps or go to Celcom rm80 permth for 50mbps per second.

I also heard of Allo package from TNB and heard about public IP issue. How does it compare to Unifi HSBB? Any advice especially if you were in my situation or if you are expert in this area.

update 21/9/21
I have question, does unifi installer AND celcom installer needs to come in to the house to do the port over? I have concern on this because the house cannot live 1 day without internet. How to coordinate the two agents from celcom to activate and remove unifi installation in the same time?

I downgraded from 149 100mbps unifi to 89 30mbps. So far still ok. Ping from gaming while one parent streaming video still below 20ms.

Never tried celcom though. Stayed with unifi for many years d

Then on service quality its nothing to compare with fiber. Bad mobile performance is almost always due to your devices struggles competing for airtime in congested cells.
While you can almost always get full lane of whatever gigabit speed supported by PON. Plus fiber does not share trunk with mobile towers.

Honestly I've been asking the exact same question as you for some time now.
Been looking to get Digi (50mbps @ rm90) or celcom (symmetric 30mbps @rm80). Still collecting feedback. But im leaning to Celcom because I don't like Digi doing many shady things (misleading tnc and undocumented throttling among others).
I often see complain about difficulty to get in touch with celom support. But I think that doesn't apply to me because bluecube is just few minutes away from my house.

But then again the only shitty thing about unifi is pretty much just their unfair contract (and some routing issues actively discussed in other thread?).
If you already done the 2years and never encountered any routing anomaly then there is not much reason to switch aside from slightly better price/mbps.
That extra speed with digi/celcom comes with cost of having extra layer of support complications if anything went wrong with your fiber cable.

well if unifi didnt tie me to another 2 years for downgrading i wouldnt look out for alternatives. So the end, u went ahead with celcom? my area i think celcom or whichever is relying on TM infra.

Ah yes. I forgot about that shitty up/downgrade clause too.

Im still not making any move yet.
TM said they want to plant additional pole in my compound this month so I'll just wait for them to finish first.

Unless you are in Sabah all celcom fiber here use TM's HSBB.

Stick with unifi if u need public ip

Speed u choose really depends on ur activity eg video streaming, online meeting, pdpr etc

In Sabah, Celcom Fiber shared their trunk fiber with mobile towers.

If u need Public IP then stick to Unifi

If such IP issue does not come into ur life... both Celcom & Digi (and Maxis) also rely on TM infra, and I believe all ISP CS also suxks, so... Just depends on ur budget. Not much different, Celcom RM80 for 30mbps, Digi RM90 for 50mbps (I bundle with postpaid, indirectly RM75 for 50mbps).

failed.hashcheck I think if u went through all ISP thread, most of it also got complain on throttling.... For my Digi (still new), within a month, so far only 1 Saturday night kena throttle, others are fine. And another issue u mention that u can go Bluecube nearby... from my experience, Bluecube or Digi Store won't help much, to the end we have to call up or live chat the ISP CS only they can help out. THose psychical stores are more to psychical services.

I suppose ur area is TM-ed, don't think Allo or Time will go in, correct me, tq.

Get Celcom, but on TM's infrastructure.
