my car is June 27 2022, today's mileage is only 10k. so i kena early symptoms at december which is roughly 5k km..

for now i still can bear with it, so even if the item arrived after 2-3 months, i'll only go change during December service.
on FB group some owners changed, and problem occur again. And some SC claimed so called improve part is coming.. not sure how true that is.

but based what i see, i doubt Honda Malaysia will do anything about it la. 

only TURBO RS, no wireless charging pad. so sendiri masi tambah like EHEV type

I tot so too.. If the curse is on... We buying the failed one. Maybe the mature look, many potential younger buyer no like. The older ones goes to suv.

But this is also one of the Civic models where there are so many more positive reviews than negative. Even neutral ones tends to lean towards positive. Except for hard seat and tyre noise, no other complaint. Of course, Malaysia's built quality not mentioned in the review. If not.....

That's the one. The model nobody buy. 7th gen. Luckily FD came out when I need another car.

Oh, btw. Anyone using ehev model?

1. Pickup really significantly stronger than RS or not?
2. The motor noisy or not? Hrv really quite noticeable, I heard, what abt Civic?
3. Highway drive engine how? Pushing, noisy or running power smooth just like non hybrid.

I'm considering this of still cannot get car after crv not out or price not ngam... But looking at the currency and looming us debt and local market condition, my wife ask me to reconsider coming fl City...at least more reasonable than the earlier suggested Axia.

Haiz, heng heng booked Civic liao, upgrade ok, now ask to downgrade to City.... Used to think City ok one for our new car... But now after sit in Civic... Suddenly feels the mature nice rear looking city suddenly feel so.... small, like Civic cut in half size (not true, just trying to imagine the feeling)..but City more than 50k cheaper, that's 1.5 cars vs Civic. If buy crv, can buy almost 2 whole new City..

high mileage and highways negate benefits of hybrid. you do get the benefits of electric torque, and your last mile city driving stop go traffic much better FC, that's about it.

any savings from petrol, as calculated numerous times in this thread, is completely voided by your higher car purchase price. you need between 8 to over 10 years to get back the fuel savings after car price. it will be better IF fuel prices sky rocket, and even that, a very rough/simple calculation of doubling fuel price, cutting down 8 years to 4... is still a significant time to ROI your hybrid fuel savings.

summary: you do NOT buy hybrid for fuel saving. at least not yet in our current landscape and environment.

The car is very muted even with engine running. Only is when in traffic the engine kicks in lol. But then, much quieter than hrv ehev and city ehev. Probably due to the active noise control

And yeah, dont buy it solely for the FC. I love the smart card key, i owes bring my card wallet out only and it really fits in and i never bring out my car key ever since bought the car lol. Another nice compliment is when ppl step in the car they will ask, why so quiet ah 😂 aside from some rattling when go thru lousy road lol. The tft screen is nice too. Overall satisfied with the car just rattling is really kinda piss off at first but after that just fuk it cos sit in benz amg a45s also can hear rattling lol.

But I have noticed someone mentioned that the Honda stock dashcam quality is terrible. He complained that the recorded video of other car plate numbers are not even clear. Which I think if he’s true, then the dashcam is really considered speechless…

After a month of on road observation from Klang KL Kesas and NKVE and driving to KLCC area, I rarely see any Civic. Only can see once in a while like spotting rare animal only.

So far only spotted the same Silver E spec few times in my parking lots, on road white RS couple of times, black RS couple of times...thats it..I can see so many more CRV and new City but no Civic RE albeit CRV current gen is already over 5 years old.

Will ultra long que for RS even after 1.5 years, feel like Honda abandoning Civic production for City, HRV and coming WRV.

My living spaces are in Jln Ipoh, KLCC city area, and TTDI. I rarely see FE Civics. But when I spotted one, everyone was driving either white RS/V, or black V. Spotted only 1-2 grey RS for the past one year. I'm not exaggerating, because I put 90% attention when I saw them lol, and I'm in the waiting list of RS too.

FE still has this steering rack issue?

#$@!%  , last time I take wife see HRV, say HRV got extra 3k option for 360 camera. No front camera, no issue, SUV mah, high high run over any front parking brick. Toyota Cross, everything got, good.

Now I choose my choice highest price sedan vs her SUV options...why no blind spot monitor, never mind, we got lane watch, can see car coming on left. What about right, err.....the right side mirror very nice big view...

But she say this sedan very low seat, car so big (she drives B segment old City and she small size), I say got reverse camera, assume go front camera, no need 360...front back parking no problem. Now, this car very low ground clearance, (just found out its 126mm, lower than 5 inches, worst than my expected low of 5.2"), I cannot use excuse can run over front parking brick, bumper wait koyak. How.....I really run out of explanation how a 150K car does not even have a basic front parking camera that are common nowadays.

Civic eHev has the best spec, the "perfect" version of Civic, I know that.

But I likely will be prioritizing on CRV first....both my wife and daughter likes the new CRV interior and exterior a lot. Hint hint....  

My daughter after considering her future study fee and also have flood phobia (our house flooded during the rare Klang Valley flooding).....suggest, if no buy CRV, then buy City and skip Civic. Can buy 2 City for a CRV. Its true tho...   .

If I don't get CRV, I will likely goes for Civic eHev. Unfortunately it does not a have my fav Silver colour. Have to choose either White or Meteroid Gray (I likely for for bright colour). Is Civic white paint thicker than gray, since we have to add another RM600 for it?

There is a concern tho for eHev future maintenance and cost. Unlike Toyota matured hybrid system that has minimal parts that can wear and tear, eHev uses lots of moving parts that can wear out as part of hybrid system. Clutches, traction motors, twin motors, etc definitely will require maintenance and expensive parts replacement in the future. Estimated life about 10 years only, then have to replace the wear and tear parts. Likely to be very expensive. While petrol variant maintenance can be easily estimated.

I follow many video reviewers say wan. I not technical.

The 10mm lower center of gravity comes from this article. Aiya link removed... It's a Paul tan 15th Nov article. Say the company aka Honda mentioned that although the ground clearance is 2mm higher than rs but have 10mm lower centre of gravity. I'm been asking how also.. Not this article mentioned abt this only. Saw it repeatedly in other article and some video reviews.

As for better handling, stiffer chassis or something, almost all test drive video reviewers says the same thing. I forgot for eg. an Indian chap testing in those Honda official track drives exceeded the 60km limit cornering set by Honda during the test drive mention definitely better handling. He and others are so impressed with the difference with rs. I can't remember talking about chassis or something but NOT talking abt suspension. But it also mention the change the weight distribution to 50/50 enhancing or at least not compromising aka not losing to other specs. I believe the ecvt aka no cvt with immediate torque definitely helps enhamce this handling improvement aspect.

When almost all real drive reveiwers were impressed and harped on the same exact point of noticeable better handling, stiffer or better cornering or something, acceleration, smoother ride, nvh when compared with rs, I tend to believe that although I have no knowledge on the know how.

Come to think abt it, I'm like those uncle who follow ppl buy share coz everyone buy. Maybe I also the one jumping from top floor.
