Hi there, needed sifus or experienced home owners feedback on below:

1 - Do you gus prefer to get all furniture and electrical appliance in just one store for easy sake? if yes, appreciate your advice other than Harvey Norman.

2 - If to buy things individually (as in each item at different shop), will it be more expensive when I total it up across all items?

1. No matter the size, I doubt a store can meet all the needs of every customers.

2. As per your example, buying 10 different items in Harvey wont be cheaper compare to 1. Convenient ...yes.

Usually get from few stores so it can fit my requirement better.
Furniture maybe just a couple..

Electrical item depends..sometimes warehouse sale cheap.. sometimes online cheap but cannot do time guaranteed..offline store can deliver big things w their own lorry subcon so can time guaranteed delivery, I'll take that coz I have delivery time restriction.

Totally agree. Since I'm based in SG for now before could return for the shifting, I have to rely on online sales/FB advertisement etc.

Appreciate your feedback. Thanks so much.

Do you mind sharing the furniture shop that you're familiar with? Might reach out to them. It will be a big help for me as I'm based in SG, and shifting parents from Kuantan to Selangor.

You can try Maju Homes. Their main 3 sty showroom is along Subang Puchong Rd. Good selections but also depends on your choice.

Bought a 3+2 sofa set and replace all the dinning chairs from them.

IF its electrical stuffs i suggest you get from the same shop (Harvey Norman/senheng) and get a bundle discount. you can negotiate further if you are good in negotiation. it'll be much cheaper compare to you buy individually *from my personal experience

for furnitures, i don't think you can get what you like from the same shop.

It's not just where you buy, the brand is also important. If you buy blenders or food processors of any brand perhaps it does not matter but for bigger items, fridge or washing machine it does matter because of after sales service. Check that out with the shop as well. They might say 3 year warranty but if your washing machine packs up after 5 years? A bit of pain now will save you a lot later.

For appliances after sales service, it always goes back to the brand manufacturers or importers.

After warranty, if the WM packs up, either repair or buy new ..... normal with all other appliances.

Replacing a blender is more costly than replacing a washing machine, so most would want to fix a washing machine.
I had a panasonic washing machine for 8-9 years and it had started to leak. It was very good in other ways, I called Panasonic, a technician came the next day.

I have problems with my Sharp fridge, they tell me to take it to their centre. A 6 ft 2 door fridge. I don't call that service. I knew many 3rd party technicians in my old place so didn't know about their unfriendly service. But now, no more Sharp stuff for me.

I have fans and a TV of Sharp brand. So if the fans pack up, out they go. The TV? Praying that it will give me good use for many years.
