To be honest, in the area of A-Levels. Both universities would be recognized. In fact, any university that offers A-Levels are recognized. This is because A-Levels is an externally assessed qualifications conducted by Cambridge International Examinations (CIE). There are two types of A-Level programmes in Malaysia, Cambridge A Level (administered by Cambridge International Examinations) and Edexcel International Advanced Level (administered by Pearson International). Both are external exams - thus all A-Levels are equal in terms of quality and recognition.
What is DIFFERENT is the preparation for exams and the quality of teaching. Both these factors has an impact on how well students are prepared for the examinations.
It's like comparing the level of SPM between various schools. SPM is standard. But different schools have different quality based on the teachers and class you are in.
