Based on vehicle prices in Asia from SOS: https://www.theglobaleconomy.com/rankings/v...prices_wb/Asia/

Cheaper than all ASEAN countries (except Philippines) and East Asian regions like Japan, South Korea, Taiwan which are the car manufacturing giants.

Wonder why Malaysia still complain car expensive. Actually not bad if you can see everyone driving. smile.gif

When I see Japan and Malaysia side by side, I already knew TS is trolling...

Average car price probably... but in Japan, people drive what car, here drive what car.

So true. People keep talking on the cheap food, cheap this, cheap that, where the truth is the spending power of the people is very small.

Ya la. We are using Toyota NR engine family on Myvi. That's why MyVi can cruise until 200kmh like AE86.

People mindset

Sushi car - Widely available globally, higher quality when compared to local car

Local car - Only available in limited market, lower quality when compared to Sushi/Kimchi/Sausage/Cheeseburger car. Hence, the lower price (Illusion of lower price as all non-local car prices are jacked up to plotek the sales of local cars)

The only way for local car to be similar standard as other global cars is to go global. However, people just comfortable with local market. Why take the stress to go global?
